I've only posted on the HT thread so far, a whole three days, but I wanted to post something before it possibly costs a lot of people a lot of money. RGOER, whom I respect greatly, has posted a 5X play on SUNS OVER tonite. Now normally, I just tail ROGER on his 5X plays, especially on totals, but I have to say, this one to me is way off, but the other way.
Look, PHIL is back in LA and PHIL is about defense. MICHAEL didn't win all those titles by outscoring teams but shutting them down. Sure, MJ got his, but he was like 30% of this team total nearly every night. The LAKERS will not be a run and gun team EXCEPT in the FH. PHIL is a genius, he lets his team play in the FH and get a little crazy, then he tells them at HT, "LOOK, you've had your fun now go out and shut down these fools and win this game." That's why he's a players coach. He emphasizes defense, but he still lets his players have some fun, but mainly in the FH. Add to that that PHOENIX is missing nearly HALF of their pts from last year, and I can't see playing this game over this early in the year. PHONEIX played DAL opening night, a running team at home and managed 90 pts in reg. They needed TWO OT's to break 100. LAKERS didn't break 100 last night despite playing DENVER, a running team and going OT. I'm not saying ROGER is wrong, I'm sure his numbers show a strong play, but I'm doing the opposite.
Just food for thought and that's what this forum is all about. This is in NO WAY a bash at ROGER. I think he knows me better than that. I use his plays to set up HT's!

Another angle to look for out of LAKERS is OVER in FH and Under 2H. I'm not touching it tonite, becase I don't see these two teams hitting 100 in the FH, but once the lines come down on LA/PHO, look for it to happen.
