Welcome to Friday...10 games on the slate.
2-0 on the early season...I did not post a
play last night so this is irrelevant to my record
but i did have the Suns last night. :)

:director: Looking at the Jazz-Warriors game.

Battle of undefeated clubs takes place tonight, as the Utah Jazz play their first road game of the 2005-06 campaign against the Golden State Warriors at The Arena in Oakland.

Last season, the Warriors won two of three from Utah.

A win tonight would give the Warriors their first 2-0 start since the 1994-95 campaign, when Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullin and Latrell Sprewell led the team to five straight victories. Golden State ended the year with a disappointing 26-56 record.

On Wednesday, Jason Richardson had 28 points as the Warriors used a huge second half to crush the Atlanta Hawks, 122-97, in the season opener for both teams at The Arena. Two-time All-Star Baron Davis left in the third quarter with a strain of his left hamstring. Davis finished with 15 points and seven assists on the night for the Warriors, who outscored the Hawks, 75-40, in the second half.

Troy Murphy had 19 points and nine rebounds in the win over Atlanta, and Mickael Pietrus put up 20 points, 18 in the second half, off the bench as the Warriors defeated the Hawks for the seventh time in a row.

On the injury front, Davis is a game-time decision for tonight's contest.

After tonight's contest, the Warriors will embark on a three-game road trip. They will visit New York on Sunday and will also face Milwaukee and Chicago on the swing.

Including tonight's contest, the Jazz will play five of their next six contests on the road. They started the season with a big win on Wednesday, as Mehmet Okur scored 27 points, including two crucial three-pointers in the fourth quarter as Utah defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 93-82, at the Delta Center.

Rookie Deron Williams, the third overall pick in this year's draft out of Illinois, scored 18 points and added three assists and three boards in his NBA debut. Andrei Kirilenko netted seven points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win over Dallas.

Unlike the Hawks..The jazz will bring some
defense to the table..Look for a back and forth
game...The Jazz keep it close.
