5-0 on the young season....

5 games slated for this evening.

:director: Looking at the San Antonio-Chicago game

San Antonio Spurs (2-1) at Chicago Bulls (1-1),

The world champion San Antonio Spurs play the second of a five-game road trip, as they visit the Chicago Bulls tonight at the United Center.

The Spurs will try and bounce back from a poor performance. On Saturday, Dirk Nowitzki poured in 34 points and the Dallas Mavericks pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 103-84 victory over San Antonio at American Airlines Center.

Tony Parker finished with 24 points, while Tim Duncan contributed 18 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for the defending NBA champion Spurs, who had beaten Cleveland and Denver by double-digits in their first two games.

Manu Ginobili had 13 points and Nick Van Exel scored 11 for San Antonio, which hit 5-of-14 three-pointers, compared to 6-of-9 for the Mavs. It was Michael Finley's first game against his former Maverick teammates. Finley, who played 8 1/2 seasons in Dallas, finished with two points on just 1-of-6 shooting in 27 minutes.

San Antonio will also visit Charlotte, Boston and Washington before returning to the SBC for three straight games.

The Bulls start a three-game homestand tonight. They will also host Golden State and Utah on the current stand.

Chicago return home after suffering a tough loss on Saturday. Richard Jefferson's layup and free throw with 1.5 seconds left gave the New Jersey Nets a 100-99 come-from-behind win over the Bulls at the Continental Airlines Arena.

Kirk Hinrich led Chicago with 26 points in the loss to the Nets, while Ben Gordon, who is the reigning Sixth Man of the Year, scored 23 points off the bench for the Bulls. Duke product Chris Duhon had a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists.

Here are a couple of trends...

*Spurs are 7-15 ATS in there 22 away games*
*Bulls are 8-3 ATS in there last 11 home games*

*I like the Bulls tonight too cover the +5 at home*

my freakin' bulls suck** in overtime,, i was praying for NO overtime.. oh well.. that's the way it goes

I was praying for no OT myself..lol...

Lifeless in OT...The Spurs put on a decoy play..

Pop was signaling a timeout and the Bulls started
to walk off the court and Parker drove to the
basket for a lay up that was the killer.I never saw
that before in hoops...saw Dan Marino do that
against the Jets about 10 years ago.
