In the fwiw column:

Apparently Vince Young is really ticked at Mangino and Kansas for the comments made after loast year's game. Last year after the game the walking earthquake claimed the refs fixed the game, Young wasnt all that good, blah blah blah.

In an interview today Mangina stated he belieed that texas is the best team in the country - could be true or coachspeak or trying to diffuse the talk. When Young heard about this he apparently stated he wanted to play the game right now.

Now, keep in mind I wouldnt lay 35 with the 84 49ers against a high school team. Kansas has a stout defense, and Texas can sleepwalk now to the Rose Bowl. But if Texas, on Senior Day, is bound and determined for a little payback, I would tread lightly on taking 35.

Time for Fat Phil to get a new gig.

All-time Texas 2-1 v Vols. Texas football started first. 3 titles to 2. 2 Heismans (soon to be 3)to None. No question who deserves the title of REAL UT.

plus texas can work the system and rankings so they get invited to a bcs game as opposed to some pac ten pussies

No it is whining. Nothing new there. The sun may rise in the West before you actually contribute to the forum or, heaven forbid, actually post plays. I dont really give a shit what you think about me, but if you must insist on coming into my thread to start shit you could at least make it in the same area code of the thread topic. Pretty sure the fact that the pac-10 has a bunch of pussy teams doesnt mean much to an analysis of the Texas-Kansas game.

That said I really have no interest in your opinions on anything, so please just stay out of my threads and stop cluttering them and save it for your other 90 anti-everyone but thePac 10 threads in the fan forum.

Deep in the heart of Texas
Texas -34 this morning. Agree this number doesn't look as appealing as the early week gift -28, against Baylor. The orange defense had their epiphany against Okie st 2 weeks ago. Doubt Kansas scores more than 10 in this one. Mack walks a fine line, trying to restrain Young to protect his heath, and allowing him enough snaps and scrambles to stay in the Heisman hunt. IMO they cover 34, but its a no bet for me.

well, that call WAS BS last year and Texas shouldda lost

They escaped with a win

However it is bad for Fatgino, as Mack will now spend time on this instead of formulating a bad game plan

the same pac10 pussy that got it handed to them by a Big12 team in their bowl game a month later....the same big12 team that Texas beat down on the road by 30-something.

why is it that people from the pac-10 still are upset about cal not getting in the bcs game last year? I can understand it before texas tech stuck in their ass, but after a whooping like that you would of thought that they would have stopped their winning. Amazing, these are the people that complain about mack brown winning

Cal was an injury depleted team at the end of the season. I think both starting WR's were out! Big whoop TT beat a team who was injured and didn't want to be there. How has the Pac 10 champion done against Big 12 and Big 10 champs last 3 years? When CAL was healthy, they took USC down to the wire and were 10 yards away from beating USC. @USC!!!!!

the end result of the holiday bowl (cal win or loss) or the rose bowl (tx win or loss) has NOTHING to do with the fact that Cal got hosed out of the Rose Bowl by Texas, WHO WHINED THEIR WAY INTO A BCS GAME.

Put the show on the other foot and take away conf allegiances.....

if team A is ranked above team B (and was the most of the year).....yet team B amazingly jumps team A in the final poll after their head coach of team B crys about going to a bcs bowl game after team b wins their final game.... all while team A is winning their final game on the road vs another bowl team......wouldnt you find this disturbing, or strange or fixed or whatever????

Personally, I find your question to reek of sour grapes. This happens every year to a couple of teams. Auburn certainly had a more legitimate gripe than Cal, at least they WON their bowl game. Michigan would have embarrased California even worse than Texas Tech did.

Can you two losers get out of my thread if you are gonna go off topic please. There are plenty of other places you can spread your usual drivel.

Get over it Pac 10 guys. The better team went to the Rose Bowl and won. It was proven that Cal definitely wasn't the best choice by the way Tech stomped them. Cry me a river about the injuries. They're part of the game.

Can't wait for the Rose Bowl. It should be a helluva matchup!

Sun, I just posted basically the same thing in the NCAA football forum in a guys "Take Kansas +34" thread.
