No offense, but not sure what your arguing about. I didn't watch the end of the game that closely, just know that the game was over. WVA was up by 38. A lot of times, when your up by 38, you run the ball.
You really expected Cincy to take a knee, down by 38? No use calling timeouts either. Just play it out.

TD i would agree with you 100% in the NFL but this is college and i am sure that is why usc,texas, and those teams run the ball every play when they are up big......not! that is why they are so good they play the whole for quarters and sends the message to the team to play hard all the time....i just think not because of betting or anything...but you need to get your backup in and give him an opportunity to throw the ball....you point is valid if we are talking NFL but not college......coaches do not take it personal if you backup is in an making throws.....i guess just different philosophies that coaches have....i know me as a coach i want to get my backups in and give them as much work as possible because they work there butts off in practice just as hard as everyone.....if you are a back-up receiver you deserve to get some passes....if your a backup qb you deserve to make some passes....so valid points i guess i am just under a different philosophies....
yes i had the over 2nd half and it was 17-0 after three.....i just think if you are not going to use your timeouts at the end of a game and let the clock run all the way down to 23 seconds with two timeouts no matter what the scocre then you should just run one play and go to the locker room

Yeah, I see what your saying, but you can't really argue with much of what happened. I also think that a lot of people consider it running the score up if you throw late in the game no matter who is out there throwing.
I played receiver in high school and was a backup. I remember getting in a lot of game during mop-up time my junior year, and we NEVER threw the ball. Bust ass all week and finally get in there to run block. It does suck, but I do understand it.
I just think its so funny, esp. college football. Lets see, you have to win by a lot of points to move up in the polls. But you can't run the score up. So, should running teams pass at the end of a blowout? Or do they just an advantage in the polls? LOL, its ridiculous. I don't have a problem with running the score up to an extent. Don't do things like call timeouts or run hurry-up. Put subs in and let them run plays. And just know the situation. If your Texas and playing a div. 1-AA team, take the blowout but manage the end of the game. Your 3rd string is prob. better (and rested) than their 1st string. Just hand the ball off.
