...as far as inconsistent QB'ing goes...

i think basaenez is the best of the bunch on three teams mentioned in post. i'm not trying to hype ** QB as much as knock MICH's signal caller HENNE. I think this kid picked up where the likes of Drew Henson left off. Underachieving--at least from the standpoint of skills (that i suposedly hear soo much about from announcers in few games been able to watch) as well as not having right makeup to lead a team like this wolverine one, blessed with solid running, DEF and talented wideouts.

--Why is it these big schools--the likes of ohio states, michigans, and miamis of the college football worlds end up with such YUK QBS? I think that theres plenty more-talented QB play all over the place in lesser known programs that really--should have no business competing with the schools i named when it comes to recruiting.

as far as ON TOPIC discuss goes, i know n'western isnt a total fraud. I dont think SUTTON the frosh RB gets on track--though the wildcats DEF certainly did make MICH ST's all-world QB stanton look downrifght awful (confused and forcing all day)

--though should add the Spartans did shorten the field for 'cats on several occasions as well as a FMB returned for TD when MSU was goin' in.

I guess my problem with backing OSU in this matchup is: while i give credit for ST having the better defense--no doubt aboutit--hands down, i think N'westn has the QB vs def in Basaenez VS OSU as opposed to Smith (lack of faith on my behalf) VS N'westn. Though that sounds goofy--dontchu think N'western might build on what Minnesota showed could keep a team in game--as they were close--until 2ndH came.

Then too, you could argue that Minn has as good if not better all around team than N'westn does--and look how OSU pulled away from them--IMHO, that wont happen here, jus my opinion

all taht said and done--i'll take N'westrn with points vs SMITH GINN HOLMES and PITTMAN< is it?

SUTTON and BASAENEZ cover.

Gman- Yeah, I'm interested too. I thinking about a PK or the home team laying a point.

I can't believe this line its at 19.5, it might be 20 by game time.

I am telling you guys Wild Cats will cover the points.

No looking ahead, but Northwestern holds their own in the shoe.
