Thanks BDB

He's been off the air for one or two months now. Figured he got a better position somewhere. Hope it's not something related to your post. Seems like a decent enough guy.

I'll also note that you guys had one of the best late nighters ever in les grobstein before he got canned in some kind of scandal, but that guy knew everything.

Les is still involved in sports. He does more freelance work now. He's at all the big press conferences etc for different outlets.

He's very much part of the local broadcast of ND football games on 890 AM. They picked up the ND radio call just this year and brought him on board.

He also appears every now and then on local radio shows. He's definitely the "rain man" of sports knowledge.

He got caught a year or two back screwing around with his flight miles somehow and lost his permanent show he had here overnight. It had something to do with his expenses. I'm pretty sure that's what it was. He was on the air at another station a bit later after the whole episode and copped to everything he did.

Todd Wright subbed on an afternoon show here in the Twin Cities a month or so ago for a couple of days and was not really specific about leaving the overnight gig. He kind of hinted that it was time to do something else, move on, etc. He is a pretty knowledgeable guy.

Every year he gives one dog that he likes to bring it in the bowl games. He doesn't get into the whole gambling sports radio thing, just this one time. The play is pretty solid and he goes into his thoughts on the game.

I was kinda hoping he'd be back on the air in the near future.
