...laying the 2.5 over miami. huge consensus on new england this week. carib for one has 89% on the patties.

Patriots vs Dolphins (Week 10) Dolphins 10.43%
Patriots 89.57%
2090 Bets

sharp book like pinnacle has kept it at 2.5, just increased the juice. i know alot of good players here like new england, and i can't come up for a good argument to take miami, except for the reasons i've already mentioned. but throw in the short week for the patties, and the fact that miami lost last week at home (against a good atlanta squad) and if i have any balls i might have to play a miami ML.

good luck to all:)

Consensus is right this time IMO...Pats will win the game!! I'm taking NE ML!! Giving MIA way too much respect....Number does seem a little fishy. Maybe a Pats 1-2 pt win??? ML is the play for me!

umm until 2 years ago New England had lost about 20 St. down in Miami. Even last year with a much better team, New England lost in Miami. And btw the win in Miami in 2003 was in overtime.

If Patriots get Seymour back, I like them Sunday, without him they will have a difficult time stopping Brown & Williams.

I really like Miami here. I think they run all over the Pats. Dee is just really bad right now and another hit to the 2ndary this past week. I think Miami wins outright. Just my 2 cents guys. GL to you both.

Historically playing in Miami has never been good news for the Patriots. Games played in Miami prior to November first I believe Patriots are 0-12. Games after November 1st something like 3-6.

As I said even last year with a much better & healthier team Patriots lost down there. Patriots very vulnerable to the pass as you saw against Indy and Buffalo, without Seymour they are suspect against the rush, see Denver & Buffalo. 8

I'm not sure Miami has ability to exploit pass deficiencies like Indy, they will want to run Brown & Williams, if Seymour plays I like their chances. But they are coming off Monday night loss, they understand they have to have this game and I expect very spirited effort from what I have heard.

With smart shops like pinnacle camping at -2.5, and 85 percent on Patriots, certainly makes you think.

Unless you can come up with a compelling reason to play the game, why don't you simply pass. It appears you can make an arguement either way.

N. England, coming off an emotional game and traveling on a short week.....

Miami, an exceptional record at home against the Pats, but with a weak passing game which is the Pats weakness......

etc, etc.....this game could go either way. Double your money by folding it in half and putting it back into your pocket!!.. :)

the people in Vegas are trying to use reverse psycholagy on us... Wont work on me this time. Taking Pats big on Sunday. They were embarrased on Monday night. The Dolphins will take the heat.

Pats -2.5 10 units maybe more... GL

SP,

game was and may still be a pass for me. wasn't until this late in the week that i thought it was worth bringing up based on the situation i see. not trying to talk peole out of the NE bet, but this scenerio caught my eye.

agree, better games out there this week, but not many imo - looks like a week to tread lightly.

thanks for the followup shamrock.

Miami plays much better at Home but i just can't see New England at 4-5. There D was no match for manning but they have still got enough for Gus Ferrotte and the last time i checked Tom Brady was still behind center for the Pats. Hell my Jets Dominated the Dolphins. 23-13 Pats

i was at that 2003 game in miami when new england finally won down there...

this place has historically been a house of horrors for new england...and that even when they are an exceptional team...this year they are anything but...thier defense is BAD...and they basically have to rely on Brady every game to pull it out because thier running game is non-existent..Dillon def is banged up ..he simply has looked bad all year...

so what happens to teams that cant Run and cant stop the Run..they lose ..you can bet Miami will run the ball and then run the ball again...they should have learned thier lesson last week when they were running the ball at will against Falcons and then decided tio let gus throw the ball on a short yardage play down deep in Atlanta territory...

what is making me feel a little shaky about Miami is Gus and the fact that the Patriots will be unltra focused on this game..after getting embarrased last week...further they will def. stack the box and make Gus throw the ball...if Seymour goes thats a boost to the D line...teh patriots secondary is terrible the question simply is will Miami have the ability to expose this weakness?...

If you have an indication that Gus will be able to take advantage of this weakness then Miami has to be the play...

as a Pats fan..im not afraid to tell you the obvious ..this team just aint that good...I still am always weary of putting a cent on Gus at the helm

I remember a Mon. nt. NE vs. Miami late season game in the 80's
when NE hadn't won in Mia. since 1968. Line moved from Miami -3
to -6 at game time. It took 3 holding penalties on 30+ Marino passes to keep NE in the game which they eventually won!!! All
penalties were called by the infamous Red Cashion (the mobs best
friend)!!!! Happily I was on the "right' side.

I can come up with a few compelling reasons, but the best is: Miami is the better team... and they're getting points at home.

It's time to accept the fact that this New England team is mediocre at best. They've been decimated by injuries, and they are in unfamiliar territory. They have NO defence whatsoever and until they get that fixed they can't be considered anything remotely resembling the Super Bowl champs. And Miami's running game is just getting into gear. All those injuries and now they have to stop 2 RB's?

Then you've got Miami playing their 2nd straight at home, after losing their first. This is usually a "bet on" situation for me.

New England on a short week having just played Monday.

Honestly I expected the line to be about Mia -2 or -2? and was shocked to see the Pats as a road favorite. I really can't see any justification for it at all.

To put it another way...if this game was in NE and you figure home field is worth 3 points on the betting line, that would make the line on this game about NE -8?. Would you lay 8? pts with the Patriots at this stage? For me I don't have to think about it too hard...no bloody way.

New England is one of the top picks in the Hilton contest....my shaky system has Miami winning this by 3......think I can find a couple of trends here.....

Miami as a dog from pick to 2.5 is 7/1 ats

New England as a fave off a loss is 2/9 ats

Miami has covered 6 of the last 7 home games against NE

I like the Dolphins for a small play
