I think its amazing just how many white superstars that Duke finds for their program. Their recruiters must work all hours during the offseason in order to recruit just enough white players to even out their roster racially! LOL

I was thinking the same thing tonight. But if you think about it, it's easy to find them because there are only what.. maybe 5 white kids every year that can play at that level.. and Duke gets them all. Paulis and Pocius are serious talents.. and the public is going to end up hating Pocius fitting right in the Duke mold.
FWIW, Kansas used to land quite a few of the best white players, but since Roy has moved on, that doesn't look like it will continue.

All the white players are from Europe these days, and they are as good as anybody... Ginobli - Nash (Canada) - Nowitzki ..etc....
Additionally, maybe because they aren't as physically gifted - they are forced to work harder on their game and are better players... better suited to work within a system.... but I think we walk on thin ice when we think of basketball in terms of race.... it's teamwork, intelligence, practice (Iverson!!) and coaching...

I think the supposed inferiority of white basketball players is a myth....just like the supposed superiority of intelligence of whites is a myth. Harvard may have a disproportionate rate of white students to black, and the NBA may have a disproportionate number of blacks to whites....but I think that is a byproduct of individual choices not genetics.
most white can play ball with anybody.white americans for some reason suck.i think its b/c the way the game is advertised and played here in the states leaves an inferior complex to whites.ive seen and been to games in italy and the former yugoslavia ,these guys can play and have not been brainwashed by the slamdunk contest etc ,when they were younger.you can watch the nba now in europe easy,but a few years ago it was just the finals televised over their...btw duke will not win the championship this year.
