Hey everyone... I've been lurking for a while and have benefitted from some great cappers here, so I figured it was time to finally throw my hat in the ring. Just a quick note... I tend to pick games based on situations and my gut feeling. I'm not a big number-cruncher and I don't follow trends too closely, especially if they date back like 7 or 8 years. Alright, on to the picks...

Indy (-5.5) I just think Indy is the better team and don't see Cincy's D being able to stop them. I've thought all year that Cincy is one of the most overrated teams due to their cupcake schedule. Losing 2 of 3 games to teams with winning records and laying eggs against GB and Houston at home is hardly anything to get excited over. Tomorrow is their chance to prove me wrong.

TB (+6) I was surprised at this line. I figured Atlanta would be about a 3 point fave. Atlanta's D can be run on and TB loves to pound the ball. Plus, I get to bet against Kordell Vick. One of my favorite pasttimes. Unless Chris Simms completely unravels and throws 3 or 4 picks, I like TB here. In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they won it SU.

Denver (-7 1H) I love this one. Denver plays on Thanksgiving so I'm not going to take them at -13.5 for the game. I could see them getting way up and then resting some starters and/or just taking it easy on D. I like them to take an early lead and then put it on cruise control.

Ravens (+3.5) Yes, the Ravens are awful. However, they still have a good defense and Tommy Maddox is the QB tomorrow. That pretty much sums it up for me. You could put a gun to my head and I wouldn't bet on Maddox. He's a trainwreck. I think this will be very low-scoring, something like 13-10.

Good luck everyone.

Thanks Anders. I appreciate it. And nice avatar... now if only I could find an Emilio Estevez one we would be in business!

Got a little lucky on a couple of games today but I'll take it... Tonight I'm taking the Chiefs -7. I actually like that they played so poorly last week. Houston is a good team to bounce back against. If the game were played in Arrowhead I think the Chiefs would roll by 21 or so. Don't think homefield is going to mean a difference of 14 points tonight. I don't think it will be a blowout, but I do like the Chiefs to cover.

GLTA...

Thanks everyone. I really blew it though, didn't I? I have nowhere to go but downhill now! And to trolln... my name isn't actually Glenn, it's Chad. Glenn Quagmire is a character on the show Family Guy. It's kind of an obscure reference, so I imagine I'll be explaining myself quite a bit! As for the Pack... yeah, I was leaning towards them tonight. Didn't actually play it though because it's hard for me to bet on either of these teams. And it's also 6:54 as I type this and the Pack are up 7-0, so that doesn't make my opinion seem too credible. But yeah, I think you have a winner there. Good luck everyone!

Thanks again guys. And Anders, tell John Bender I thank him for showing some restraint. I'm not nearly as hairy as Larry Lester, but I can't imagine that would feel too good. Speaking of Johnathan Bender, I can't watch a Pacers game without thinking of The Breakfast Club. Now they just need a point guard named Brian Johnson and a small forward named Andy Clark. Can you tell I like the movie? Alright, I better go get fitted for my skis cuz I'll probably take a nosedive this week. Good luck with your picks and happy Turkey Day everyone...
