terps?

leaning very hard to them over zags--who looked poor in opener vs ID ... not so familar with terps inj. etc ... I do know that Zags usually have trouble with better good quickness ...


any thoughts?

Gonzaga did look rusty in the opener, but that isnt a huge deal. This is there best team maybe ever! Im playing the Zags!

Maryland has no injuries. They are very deep and quick this year. They will press as much as they can and force Gonzaga into an up-tempo game. The wider lane and longer 3 in this game could provide a slight advantage to Gonzaga, but the key here will be their ability to handle the pressure and take care of the ball.

Personally, I think MD is stronger than many think and if they can manage to shoot the balll well they are going to be a difficult game for anyone since they are as deep and experienced as anyone in the country. They do not have the superstar player, but they play well as team.

Their weakness is that they do not posses a true point guard, but between Strawberry, McCray and Lebdetter they can get the job done. They are a much improved shooting team this year and Mike Jones has been great so far in pre-season and in their first game.

I think this will be a great game, so leave work early and enjoy.

maryland is an experienced team...most of these guys have played with each other for 3 or 4 years so they won't be rusty in terms of knowing positions and plays but the only question mark on this team might be at the point where they lost john gilchrist...however many people think that this is addition by subtraction because gilchrist had his run ins with gary williams and was known to be somewhat of a selfish player..this team should def make the tournament and in my opinion they are underrated

Yes, but in a way it makes sense, because two years ago was probably its best team up to that point, until last year's team. The 2001-2002 team was solid and only lost three games (I think), but even during that year I remember looking at who they had coming in and feeling that last year would be the best team they would ever put on the floor (which I think it was).

I really don't see this year's team being better than last year, although they will still be strong. I gotta give the Zags credit for going out and scheudling solid teams every year. Memphis, Washington, Stanford, Virginia, Oklahoma State, plus the three games in this Maui tourney this year.

no but seriously, Maryland has the ability to run all over the Zags -- Gonzaga looked shaky in their season opener also.. i'm staying far away from this game especially now with the line at Maryland -2.5 but good luck to all that are on this game.
