Yeah, I've also said that Wannestedt is pretty bad. Going for it on 4th down there at the end of the half was really bad. He got lucky they didn't score.
Overall last night Pitt was just outmanned, and the LB that got hurt on the first series was huge.
I think the "we just need to run faster" thing got blown out of proportion though. All he was saying was that on a few plays, they defended it perfect but the QB was just so athletic that he got away. Which is right. He prob. should have said run harder...
Declining that penalty was the right call as well. They gained field position on the play. It would have been 3rd and 15, they weren't going to pick up the first down.
Pitt played good for most of the game. Kept fumbling in 3rd Qtr but still stayed in the game. It got out of hand late.
