Sorry I missed your post. I guess I got sidetracked embarrassing Sun Tzu.
According to the Sagarin ratings, the Pac 10 has won 11 games against top 30 teams. The SEC has won 5 games against top 30 teams. What makes this stat even more convincing is the Pac 10 is a 10 team conf. while the SEC is a 12 team conf.
Pac 10 has 6 teams that have wins over a top 30 opponent. That is 60% of the Pac 10.
SEC has 4 teams that have wins over a top 30 opponent. That is 33% of the SEC.
The average SOS for Pac 10 teams is #28.
The average SOS for SEC teams is #56.
The Pac 10 plays more road games than the SEC.
I think the Pac 10 plays tougher OOC games than the SEC.
I rate the Big 10 #1 and ACC #2 so no need for me to compare the Pac 10 to those 2 conf. No need to compare the Pac 10 to the Big 12 because there is no argument supporting Big 12. I don't think there is an argument supporting the SEC over the Pac 10, and if there is, I like to hear it. Nobody on this site has come up with one.
#1 Big 10
#2 ACC
#3 Pac 10
#4 SEC
#5 Big 12
#6 Big East

:nooo: :nooo: :nooo:
Where did I say that? I NEVER SAID THAT! I said on Jan. 5th the defense Texas faces might be the best they faced all year. Including Ohio St. But I also said you could make a great argument saying the OSU D is better than USC and I would accept that argument. I clearly stated my reasons why I feel USC D in their BCS bowl game will get the job done.
