I have asked Scott to name the quality wins but unfortunately he has declined to respond

Sorry I missed your post. I guess I got sidetracked embarrassing Sun Tzu.

According to the Sagarin ratings, the Pac 10 has won 11 games against top 30 teams. The SEC has won 5 games against top 30 teams. What makes this stat even more convincing is the Pac 10 is a 10 team conf. while the SEC is a 12 team conf.

Pac 10 has 6 teams that have wins over a top 30 opponent. That is 60% of the Pac 10.

SEC has 4 teams that have wins over a top 30 opponent. That is 33% of the SEC.

The average SOS for Pac 10 teams is #28.
The average SOS for SEC teams is #56.

The Pac 10 plays more road games than the SEC.
I think the Pac 10 plays tougher OOC games than the SEC.

I rate the Big 10 #1 and ACC #2 so no need for me to compare the Pac 10 to those 2 conf. No need to compare the Pac 10 to the Big 12 because there is no argument supporting Big 12. I don't think there is an argument supporting the SEC over the Pac 10, and if there is, I like to hear it. Nobody on this site has come up with one.

#1 Big 10
#2 ACC
#3 Pac 10
#4 SEC
#5 Big 12
#6 Big East

whom can ever forget his quote that USC's defense is on par or better than Ohio States.

:nooo: :nooo: :nooo:

Where did I say that? I NEVER SAID THAT! I said on Jan. 5th the defense Texas faces might be the best they faced all year. Including Ohio St. But I also said you could make a great argument saying the OSU D is better than USC and I would accept that argument. I clearly stated my reasons why I feel USC D in their BCS bowl game will get the job done.

Scott, what affiliation do you have with USC? I'm not being a jerk, just wondering why you love them so much. I asked you if you went to school there before but you didnt answer me.

My Dad graduated there and so did I. I also was a volunteer team manager for Carroll in year 3 for little while. I would help out at practices and even eat with players etc. I been going to games ever since I was 3. I am 24 so when I born being a USC fan it was the worst of times. On top of that, USC couldn't beat ND and I have family members who are big ND fans. That streak hurt. Then USC had big losing streak to cross town rival UCLA. Even in the down years of USC, I still enjoyed some Rose Bowl victories and even #2 ranking before ND drilled USC at end of year. But after year 1 of Pete Carroll, I knew he was building a dynasty from what I was seeing and from those I know who are close to the program. They told me this guy is a machine and works non stop and teams and recruits are feeding off his energy. etc etc etc They were right. Of course I come to MJ's posting Carroll is building a dynasty at USC and I was laughed at to no end. :yup

All in all, I paid my dues being a USC fan through the worst of times and now get to enjoy the success. So much better than being a bandwagon fan. There are SOOOO MANY USC bandwagon fans now in CA. It is crazy. I will experience the same success with the USC hoops program. YES I SAID IT! USC will be a contender in hoops lead by Floyd. Although it will take him 4 more years of rebuilding and USC will reach elite status. MARK IT DOWN! But I am not a real big hoops fan.

*Left one thing out. USC alone has won me over 30k profit on just posted plays here at this site. I actually have won more than that on them. SO I owe a lot to USC! But I have not placed a big regular season wager on USC in the last 2 years. :(

Shit-- Diapers Hope Auburn plays your team will love seeing that. I like the way people ahead in the game or ones that think there on top run there head and when there not you never hear from them. I have nothing else to say but will wait and hope SEC teams Play your team,Big ten teams, And Pac-10 teams Then lets hear from you. Oh I know there isnt enough good teams in both those conferences to play all the SEC bowl teams but well guess a few ass whippings will have to do. As far as fresno whipping Arkansas dont think so! Good wagering to you(bet thats ugly for you to) and keep living in a dream world!! Must be fun!!

SCOTT--- A QUESTION ABOUT USC DEFENSE

SCOTT--- A QUESTION ABOUT USC DEFENSE

SCOTT
-- I AM AWARE THAT YOU ARE QUITE FAMILIAR WITH USC. IN THE BEGINNING OF THIS CFB SEASON MANY WERE TOUTING THE USC DEFENSE AS BEING ATLEAST EQUAL TO LAST YEARS UNIT (WHICH WAS GREAT). THEY HAD AN UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF KEY INJURIES ON THAT UNIT EARLIER THIS SEASON. I READ THAT MANY OF THE INJURED PERSONNEL WILL BE ABLE TO RETURN FOR THE BCS. TO WHAT EXTENT IS THIS TRUE, BECAUSE IF THEIR DEFENSE IMPROVES EVEN SLIGHTLY THEY WILL ABSOLUTELY DECIMATE TEXAS.

THANX FOR YOUR OPINIONS

For starters I can tell you USC defense is fatigued. With the pressure of being #1, 3 games that went down to the wire, and most of all, playing 10 straight game taking everyones best shot without a bye week has USC drained. Carroll commented how tired his team is and these 2 weeks before UCLA were much needed. Remember, the D lost so many players to injury that players playing are not used to playing and depth at positions is non existent.

USC starting MLB been out since CAL game. He played injured last week (knee) but was ineffective. Couldn't shed blocks. He should be 100% for BCS bowl.

USC #1 backup LB Thomas Williams been out since CAL and even had surgery on his knee. He "might" be able to play against UCLA but will be 100% for BCS bowl.

USC starting LB Rivers had hamstring issues during middle of season but got hurt in 1q against Fresno St. and was out rest of game. He might play against UCLA but will be 100% in BCS bowl.

Remember, USC had to replace their 2 best LB from last year at start of year. USC has been playing 2 highly touted freshman and former walk on at LB for the last few games. Beyond those 3, USC has NOBODY else.

At DB USC lost their #1 DB to being kicked off team and then lost #3 DB to knee injury. USC replaced one DB Walker (who been burned all year) with Pinkard who is making his first start ever at DB. He been playing since Washington and has been great improvement but he is learning on the job. He is projected to be a shut down corner next year but is learning and getting better each and every game this year. BCS bowl game he will have plenty of practice and game experience.

On DL USC has not suffered any serious injuries but they are fatigued and just playing banged up (like most players at this time of year)

Remember this. USC has had 18 different starters on defense all year. That is crazy.

There is no doubt in my mind USC will have an energized D in the BCS bowl game. The healthiest D USC has had all year. Most importantly, a D with a gameplan designed by USC's DC named Pete Carroll.

How have you embarrassed me? Man you are just a blowhard. Be glad to chat with you in California and we can see if you are as tough in person. For all your constant whining here about "personal attacks" it is remarkable how many of them you shell out.

I also was a volunteer team manager for Carroll in year 3 for little while

Shit, if I had known you used to pick up their jockstraps I would have looked at your posts with alot more respect. My apologies.
