FLORIDA ATLANTIC vs. FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL ? November 26th, 6:00 PM EST
In this game we have two teams that have struggled all season and as a result have been completely off most bettors? radar. I won a big wager back in October on FAU in their game with Louisiana Lafayette where they were 5.5 point underdogs and they won outright by 18 points. I have always been impressed with Owl?s HC Howard Schnellenberger and the desire he instills in his team. Neither of these schools have much luck recruiting top talent talent with all of the competition from the larger Florida teams but Schnellenberger seems to get the most out of his players.

The Owls had last week off to think about this season finale and their 26-23 win over North Texas two weeks ago in which they put up a solid 212 yard rushing effort. In head to head match-ups, both of this team?s victories this season have come against teams that have beaten FIU. The Owl?s passing defense is the best in the Sun Belt Conference and that is what particularly intrigues me about this game.

The FIU Golden Panthers have a very a one dimensional passing offense but they seem not to recognize that fact. In their nine games, they have attempted to run the ball 275 times but have accumulated only 985 total yards for their efforts. In the three wins this team has seen this season, two of them have been against Division I-AA teams and the other was a two point victory over Louisiana Monroe. The Panther defense has given up nearly 32 points per game this season including 66 points to Arkansas State who were held to just three points in their game with FAU.
The Verdict: FLORIDA ATLANTIC (+2)

That certainly could not have gone any worse but 51-0 actually is the epitome of my day. They say you can't win 'em all but I'm not sure I've ever lost one that badly. See you guys next week with what I hope is a better effort.
