A pretty good result last week.............close to 56% for the season, but still around the .500 mark on ESPN Sunday picks. I just have the Thursday info now, more as I get it later on in the week. Hammer wishes everyone a Happy Turkey day.

Last Week: 7-3
Season: 61-49-2
ESPN Sunday: 4-1
Season:26-26-3

Thanksgiving day thoughts:

ATLANTA -3. Going "dome to dome", should not hurt them and they are the better team all around. Det secondary to have a rough time.

DENVER/DALLAS: Likes Den, but probably will not play the game............not an official pick.

OK start to the week with ATL. I guess he had the Den/Dall game figured about right as the result was within a fraction of the spread.

THE PICKS:

K CITY~ Roaf to play=big help. KC averaging 28 ppg at home. NE 1-4 after a win.

CINN~ lean only. Balt has 24 TO's Cinn has 30 Takeaways. Big edge to Cinn passing game.

BUFF~ Won 9 of 11 at home. Car only 9 of 18 as a fave.

CHICAGO~ Tampa given up 32 ppg last 3. Given up 335 yds rushing the last 2. Bears # 1 defense. Taking the better team with the points in a low scoring game.

S DIEGO~ Wash D line is hurting. SD is 3-1-1 ATS on the road & 19-5-3 last 27 on the road. Run D is better, has not given up over 72 yds in a game since week 1.

MINN/CLE PASS

TENN~ Bennett back for them will help the passing game. SF hasn't scored an offensive TD in 6 of their games.

ST L/HOU~ PASS STL undependable

JAX~ Lean only in a high scoring game

OAKLAND~ Z Thomas & Seau are out for Miami, Run D has been miserable and they have only covered 1 game on the road so far. For Oak, coach Turner says Moss is healthier than he has been in awhile.

SEATTLE~ Doesn't know how the Giants(He has them at 60-1 to go all the way) are going to stop Alexander and their O line has issues.

PHIL/GB~ PASS Too many Phil injuries to properly handicap the game.

NO/NYJ~ PASS with not even a comment

PITT~ Indy won't be able to run as effectively as they did vs Cinn.
Pitt has R'berger back & they are dangerous as a dog and expects them to keep it close.

TENN for sure on ESPN. After that, guessing perhaps OAK, SD, SEA, KC

I've been a lurker on this site for a long long time and finally decided to start chiming in.....what kind of faith do you put in this cat? His analysis doesn't seem to be to far off the public. Not flaming, just asking?

Hank has been around prognosticating for over 35 years. He enjoys a fine reputation as a story breaker and has many influential contacts in the NFL world.
He tends to be a bit streaky and seems to have a good take on the local Miami team........his record on them this season is very good.
I have seen him have years where he is literally on fire, and as with others, I have seen the sub par also.
To answer, yes I put stock in his analysis as he does his homework & he gets a lotta input. Do I rely on only him? No. I gather info from him and a handful of others and add that to my own capping and gut feelings. Then I play.
Do I recommend one go out and play all of his picks? No.
But, his input is good, worthwhile & he is certainly in the top half of the echelon.
Seems folks either love or hate him.......sometimes he comes across as too jolly on TV, the exact opposite of what he really is.
Hope that answers your ?'s, and welcome to the forum. GL...................THE HITMAN
