ND playing like this. Has 2 losses including one at home against a team with a losing record. Their best game was one they lost at home. They have beaten one ranked team - a team barely ranked at that.
Call all the teams "John Doe" and pick from the resume ND isnt a BCS team. But that aint the system. They win they get it, whether they deserve it.

not ND's fault that schedules were made 5 years in advance and these teams decided to chit the bed this year. Before the season started everyone was saying how tough this schedule was....deal folks....ND is in.....$$$$ talks and ND is the biggest $$$$ maker in college football. We need to get a playoff system....then we can settle on the field all of the talk about who is and who isn't....this system now sucks!!!!! :sadwave: but in the meantime, we'll take our 5 weeks to prepare for OSU or PSU and try to represent better than we did tonight. :clap:

Yeah criticize ND on an OFF night..haha...how many off nights have USC and UT had? Plenty, but nobodys calling them out about BCS berths because of that. Who cares who ND lost to, they have 2 losses, by a combined 6 points. More than anything, they proved that they are always in the GAME , no matter what. Thats why they deserve the BCS bid they will get

Showed a bit of heart flying around in machines that were basically untested. My father was in the Navy. My two brothers are in the Army and Air Force. My brother in the Air Force was just stationed in Korea for the second time. You go sit your ass on the DMZ and we'll see how much heart you show. My other brother returned from Korea a few years ago and is scheduled for a tour in Iraq in 2006. Due to his rank and tenure he could get out of going if he wanted but I can guarantee he will not do that.

I will readily admit that the Michigan State team they lost to was playing much better ball than what we saw to finish the season, but a home loss is still a big strike against ND in my opinion.
About your combined 6 points argument, and what does it matter who they lost to, suppose it was ND who lost to UC Davis and not Stanford? Would it matter then?
Personally I think Auburn is the better team but I don't think any of these two loss squads have much room to complain about being snubbed, they had the opportunity to control their own destiny in this and they all slipped up more than once.

ND played 9 teams from BCS conferences. 5 of those on the road! ND played ZERO directional schools. All name programs. Every team ND plays gives them their best shot. ND played 4 of their first 5 games on the road AND their 6th game of the season was against the #1 ranked team in the country. That is BRUTAL!
ND has played the #20 ranked SOS in the country.
Time you start respecting ND and what they accomplished this season. Instead of calling Derek an idiot and homer, why not post WHY you think he is wrong.
Michigan and Ohio State #1 and #2 in SOS. I'm a little surprised to see that. Wouldn't have been my first guess but I assume given the relative strength of the Big 10 this year must weigh heavily into the ranking.
