Should have gotten rid of Millen -

Mariucci was used as a scapegoat in this case. The blame should be put more on Millen IMHO. Millen has given this team nothing to build with, does not recognize pure college talent, and his record reflects his failure since he has been with the Lions.

No shit.

Millen stuck Mariucci with playing the prima donna Harrington who the whole team wants dead. Got rid of the qb the whole team wanted to play for in Mcmahon. And drafted all skiull players with no oline. And gets to name a third head coach after his first wo failed miserably.

Millen should be the general manager of a fruit truck

LOL...I have no idea how you can possibly draft a WR in the 1st round for 3 consecutive years even if they were Rice, Moss, and Owens

Detroit is the place no coach or QB should ever want to go. I live hear and for the last 15 years I have not seen a QB or coach thrive. Not only that, they have not gone on else where and thrived. If you want you career to end, just come to detroit.

As for the receivers, when they drafted Williams this year, they did it because of Roger's problems. they knew he was one his way to a 4 game suspension, which meant he was probably on his way to a 1 year suspension.

I can't believe they gave millen a 5 year extension.

They should have a pool to see which goes down the toilet faster the Lions or Ford Motor Co. Ole Willie is doing his best to detroy them both

Millen is a joke, but Mooch refused to revamp his conservative west coast offense to fit the talent on the roster. He had to go.

TEAMS RESPONSE TO COACHING CHANGE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CAN ANYBODY SHED SOME LIGHT ON HOW A TEAM MIGHT RESPOND AFTER A MID SEASON COACHING CHANGE IE MARIUCCI. I WAS LOOKING TO USE DETROIT IN A SUICIDE POOL AS A SLEEPER PIC-- THEN THEY FIRE THE COACH.

ANY IDEAS OR OPINIONS APPRECIATED

THANX

The O-line should be fired. They have the worst unit in the league. McMillen has built on skill, but not around skill players. With a decent O-line this is a winning team.

Joey is throwing out of a jail break on every down. I expect this team to make a big rebound next year. Sadly that will make Mooch look bad, but he will land somewhere else.

The firing is best for all. New Coach for the team, and more time to find a new job for Mooch before next season so he can recruit. Yes, I said recruit.

Mooch to the NCAA. Look for further details later.

i'm not a fan of mariucci as a coach.....football is a game of discipline & from eevrything that i have read he was too lenient...

that said....i agree with everybody here that millen should have joined him....i read that last year he was given a new 5 year contract.....i guess he was rewarded for putting together a bad team that constantly drafts bad players...
