I figured I'd get some discussion on the game tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing the numbers but think there will be 80% of money on Illinois. Looking at the line out of the gate, to me you either bet Illinois or you don't play it. I'm not sure if it's possible to justify playing carolina. The first 3 games mean virtually nothing because the competition wasn't anything to write home about. If anything those games did show how unpredictable this carolina team is. If the money is pouring in on Illinois and the line doesn't budge I will admit I will consider a play on carolina. The illini did lose 3 starters from last years team. One thing that has looked good this year for unc is the defense, although the perimeter defense is somewhat lacking. I'd be interested in hearing what you guys think but am sure just about every one of you will like illinois tomorrow.

illinois getting 2

no thanks. both teams way down. i guess revenge game is obvious, but both teams are shells of themselves last year.

im not ready to lay money with illinois in the dean dome anytime soon.

to me its carolina or pass, and i'm sure ill choose pass.

gl if you play it either way

Saint...how is Frasor doing so far. His stats look decent...21 minutes, 7 pts, 5 asst

Just wondering if you like what you see. Probably saw him play 6-7 times in hs, always loved his game, great all-around player.

I would just be very careful playing Illinois (which I think is the right play if you are going to play it) as NC falls into the very accurate theory of playing a HOME UNRANKED team FAVORED over a RANKED ROAD team. This theory hits at a very solid percentage ESPECIALLY in the 1st half of the season.

I'll preface this with saying it's a risky play. Last year I made some good money playing carolina overs in the 1H, and this year I will continue to play it as long as Roy continues to push the ball down the court. Tonight can honestly go either way. Carolina's perimeter d is pretty weak...now does that mean Dee Brown will shoot well enough tonight to take advantage of that? Recently he hasn't shot the ball well but he's a good player so i'll take my chances. Carolina actually has spent a lot of time focusing on defense. So maybe it comes to bite me in the ass w/ this one but until carolina stops running i feel like i will play the first half overs if it's this low. RRC Frasor has looked pretty good for a frosh so far.

Carolina Games YTD: 1-0 +300

Play: Carolina 1h over 71.5 -108 3u

Good tonight luck fellas

Yeah, I feel like its a huge trap, but I'm still taking Illini. I thought Indy -8 last night was a trap so I took Steelers.
I think the books wait for me to bet, and then set their trap. I'm like an NC State defensive lineman....very easy to trap :p

Sorry to anyone who followed that..it was the right call, had a dead time in there and needed 2 pts in the final minute and just couldn't get it. I'd make the same play tomorrow,

Feel your pain Bro! Shit like this kills me! (Not that all FT will be hit, but...)

2:02 North Carolina - Byron Sanders misses a free throw

There was so much missed crap! Oh well. Who you like in the 2nd half???

Think you have to take carolina if anything just for the fact that they are playing at home. I would lean to the over as well, things really opened up. Took a pretty big hit on that will probably just enjoy the rest.

By the way...BYRON SANDERS IS THE BIGGEST ****ING MOOK EVER!

I think you will win more of those 1st half overs than you lose with this team. Keep them coming. I look forward to Saturday.
