On Thursday, I visited the USS Abraham Lincoln, now headed home after the longest carrier deployment in recent history. I delivered good news to the men and women who fought in the cause of freedom: their mission is complete and major combat operations in Iraq have ended.

The mission was to overthrow Saddam Hussein and his massive military so rebuilding could begin. It didn't take very long at all thanks to our brave troops!!!



By the way you liberals realize that the "Mission Accomplished" banner was FOR THE BATTLESHIP!!! That particular battleship had completed it's mission. Go pick up Gen. Tommy Franks book, he explains the whole thing. Spin it however you want though.

I don't have to tell the soldiers anything. My brother-in-law has been on 2 missions in Baghdad so I know what really goes on there. He says 99% of their work is rebuilding and training....not major combat operations. I trust the boots on the ground, not some whiny complainer like you Kosar who spends 24/7 in a gambling chatroom.
