Zona St minus over North Texas ******
love Sun Devils tonite.Zona is not a power house team but they are decent.They just beat a pretty good UCSB team 73-57. NT after beating a D-2 team got beaten bad by NC-Wilma 70-52.
NT has some athletes and greyhounds.Simpson is there top scorer and only real inside player.Then NT has 6 gds,Davis the Ark transfer who is good.Watson who will shoot any time he has the ball.Hines,Sturns,etc.All guards.All shoot from anywhere and anytime.No cohesiveness at all.Defense...whats that..No help side defense...This is a poor fundamentally looking team.Rebounding..poor.Bench...they scored 8 pts in the Wilma game.Top two 3 pt shooters are 7-24.They turnover the ball..etc,etc
Zona has Kruger and Krueger.Both can play W/O the e can stick the 3 from anywhere.With the e is the 6'7 inside player.Austin is 6'10 and should dominate the paint..About 7 players avg 4 rebounds.That means everyone hits the bds.
Zona St plays better defense and they are just as athletic as NT.
Cuse minus over Manhattan ***
Jaspers matchup poorly tonite.Who knows what Cuse team shows up.MC does not have any really good shooters.Xavier the soph is OK but he is small and shooting over Cuse's wings will be hard. MC's gds are small and can't shoot.Kono needs to be set up.Cuse is very athletic and active on defense.MC's has Anderson who is there best player.But Watkins has 19 blocked shots and Roberts and Nichols are 6'8 and 6'9.Love the frosh Devondorf.I think Cuse manhandles the 0-2 Jaspers.Oh..I forgot about Mac.I think he can hit a few tonite from the 3.
