GLA....I'dd love to see PSU play USC

Yeah, THATS what I'm after at the end of the day. I wanna see what Penn State, the team who is ONE last second play away from being undefeated can do. Obviously, BCS or no BCS, Texas would still be playing this game, but its been soooooooo long since we've seen Penn State in the national title spotlight since the '99 meltdown. I grew up watching PSU and they were my fav, even though I gotta go with my alma mater ND now as #1. But PSU is still a close 2nd.

The reason I dont really want USC to lose, and you ND haters arent gonna like this, is because that throws UCLA into the BCS mixture, possibly uprooting ND. Even WORSE, USC obviously may still end up #1 in the BCS if they lose a squeaker to UCLA, or even if dropping to 3 or lower, still be a shoe in for a BCS at large, making it harder for ND to get in.

Honestly, tomorrow will tell us alot about Mack Brown, Vince young, and the rest of the Texas pack. We saw the Texas offense STRUGGLE last week(hard to believe I'm saying that about a team that scored 40!) on the road, a RARE occassion, and Colorado definately has the defense to make that happen again. I think Texas pulls it out, but I dont think this game gets ANYWHERE NEAR 60 points. Look for Texas' DEFENSE to flex its muscle tomorrow against a fluky colorado offense. Still gonna cross my fingers and hope for PSU, but I think we see something like 30-13 Texas.

i dont think colorado will win this game. texas was sloppy last week against texas a&m and im sure they heard it from their coach. i expect them to come out playing alot better, but i dont think they will cover. i think texas will play conservative and put up enough points on the board to just controll the game.

What does your last quip about Vince winning the Heisman have to do with your original thread question? Does Colorado have a chance? Sure, but not likely. Does VY still have a chance at the Heisman? Same answer. Is Colorado a top tier team? Is VY a top tier player? Different answers IMO.

Maybe it has nothing to do with it. Guess what? Its my thread and if you dont like what I post start your own. Nobody asked you to respond, and nobody cares if you do or dont. :mj11:

If you dont like the content, go post on another thread. Wise guy comments wont be missed. If you dont have a comment about the game, go tell it on the mountain

there have been some big upsets in the BIG 12 champ games over the years, but this would probably be the mother of all upsets. but that is why they play the game. Barnett has a history of pulling off an upset or two, but again this would be pretty big. gl

Texas does not have to win in a blowout. They are gauranteed a spot in the NC. It will look bad early but I expect to see backups for most of the 2nd half.
Mack Brown will be stupid to play the 1st team any longer than he needs to.

Buffs don't have the running game to even stanbd a chance. But I think they cover the spread, barely. :)

Direct to you from the slums of Texas: Thought you wanted to provoke some friendly banter. Even if VY rushes for 300 yds, and passes for same, he won't win the Heisman. Just seemed like a low blow against a fine athlete. If you had him at ND, you guys wold be playing for the national championship against PSU :s4:

ND doesn't run a high school gimmick offense.

If Notre Dame runs a high school "gimmick" offense it WON THREE SUPER BOWLS for the Patriots. It is truly amazing how dumb some people are on this site.

Trust me - NO ND FAN would want Vince Young over Brady Quinn. We have seen the trials and tribulations with him. He took his knocks the first two years with Willingham running a horrid offensive plan. Now under Weis Tutelage he has gone from a 4th round pick to a early first round pick. We knew he had the talent playing in the Army national game and starting his Freshman year after C. Holiday went down. Now he has had a chance to showcase his skills.
