As you know, I am anti-chalk and refuse to lay the lumber even if I tend to think it will get there. Gun to my head I say Texas covers today, but I would never even consider playing it. I tend to somewhat like the total however:

Texas Longhorns/Colorado Buffaloes OVER

I have an honest question for you. You obviously are a Texas fan. Why do you bet totals with your team? Today you bet the over. So then you obviously have to root against Texas D and for CO offense. Why would you want to do that? I have also seen you bet against Texas. Why? Is winning a bet worth rooting agaisnt your team? Or are you not a big time Texas fan? Just curious. Good luck with your play!

over what? over in houston or over here on tv at my local bar? just kidding. played it over 60.5 and i will thank you if it hits. but here is your payback- play tx big against duke in new jersey next sat. no one will stop aldridge or gibson . no way 4 slow white guys should beat texas. maybe it will be 6 if you count the refs though

Come on Scott, why do you want to get somewthing started.

I'll bet against "my team" etc if it means getting the CASH.

Guys gamble to win MONEY, if you want to just cheer on a team then don't bet on it. It's that simple.

Scott some of us can tell the difference between heart and wallet, not trying to bash you ( others take care of that in here it would seem) as it took me a long time at this game to do that, HOWEVER if the TRUE follower of a team understands that sometimes his teams "Waterloo" is another team in the conference or state, then ignorance is not bliss, it is EXPENSIVE. Take for example the John Cooper years at OSU, he could have had Knute Rockne give the pregame speech and he would have still choked 80% of the time against Michigan.

I also know of more disclipined punters than I that will only take the points in the NFL, they look for the spot and pull the trigger!

Scott, Do you think your "rooting" changes the outcome. I have bet against a team I was rooting for several times. To me it's a win win situation. If my favorite team covers then I am happy, if not, I won some cash.
....and on a side note the West Va. white guys outplayed the Horns all night, Texas was very fortunate to get that W.

Good luck to All.

I have officially lost any shred of respect for you as a gambler that might have remained. You are clearly on the wrong posting board and would be much better suited trying out Rivals. Your question about whether or not it is "worth rooting against your team" to win a wager is sophomoric. Grow up.
