Thought I would give some insight for all the fellow degenerates that cannot layoff small college football!!

Northwest Missouri State at North Alabama -3-
Game notes - http://www.roarlions.com/UNANWMSFBNotes.pdf

Weather as of 8:30 local time is nasty. Low 40s raining and windy. Rain is supposed to subside, with thunderstorms popping up early to mid afternoon. Gametime is 10:00 AM local time.

Both of these teams backed into the playoffs and both have won 3 consecutive road games. Likewise both have beaten two teams en route that they lost to in the regular season. For those of you DII football hostorians, you know UNA has been very successful in the DII playoffs, winning three straight champs. in the mid 90s. (You think Bobby Wallace frm. Temple coach, is sitting in Philly thinking, "What the hell was I thinking!!")

UNA is very tough at home and the tickets have been selling like hotcakes. The closest anyone has come to the Lions at Braly stadium this year is 26 in the first game of the year. They have beaten opps. by 26,27,28, 35, and 55 for an average margin of victory of 34 pts a game at home.

The one thing that scares me about UNA is that they are very prone to TO's early in the game. However, I think the 3- is a small price to pay on this one. Beating Central Ark. in Conway last week was huge as I thought they would go all the way. I am going to lay the 3- for a small wager.

I cannot find a total on this game. If anyone has one, let me know. Braly Stadium holds water real well and UNA is going to score points.

UNA games have avg. of 55 points
NWMiss. games have avg. of 51 points

I am taking UNA for a unit and the over for a unit. One thing that scares me a little on taking UNA is they have won last 2 in OT by a field goal. However, I like the fact they are playing at home. Plus, fourth road game in as many weeks for NWMizzou. That has to catch up at some point. I feel at worse, I should get a split. GL

Skipper you are right about the UNA program but you also have to keep in mind this program went on probation because of the titles and I beleive the went down to 8 scholarships from the 36 they had in the 90s.

NWMST is a solid program who won I think 2 titles in the 90s also. So both of these programs are on the rebound and playing great.

One thing UNA has is the home field in this game and they should win. NWMST got here because Pitt. St lost their best player.

UNA wins this game but it will be very close IMO.

BigDog,

I know full well about the scholarship situation. I could go into a long spill about that, but I will just say that volleyball won a NC two years ago. (take that from what you want)

I live a block away from the stadium and even though it is raining, the bloody mary's have been flowing all morning and the stadium is filling fast.

Skipper,
I know all about the drinks flowing down there. I think the best part about that stadium is a small bar a couple of blocks away!!!

Go lions was there from 92 to 97 . Bobby Wallace helped a lot during those years as well as few players that went on to nfl.
