one of the windbags on espn has the zags in the final four. don't remember which one. even though they lost, i think its possible, morrison can score.

always been a fan of him, but washington's defensive principles are pathetic. huskies nearly blew a game they controlled the whole way. no killer instinct. morrison can score against anyone though.

there have been a lot of march atmosphere type games this year already, i think this season and the tourney might be as good or better than last year. a lot of good teams that can win any game on any given night.

I dont know that I he is gonna be all that. He is certainly a nice player but you throw it up 30 times and go to the line 10 times you sure as shit better score 40.

18-29 isnt throwing it up ... throwing it up is what Kobe and Iverson do (altho AI somehow is up to 45% so far in 2005; he hadnt pased 42% in 7 years)) ...

Morrison is avg. 29.7 pts and shooting 56% -- vs elite teams in 67% his games thus far ... that formula I used for nba player's pts. per shot att. efficiency last year rates him at 1.74 now, higher than anyone in history of nba ...

Zags were down 11 in 2nd half & minus their PG (whos pretty damn good) and Batista benched with 4 fouls, AM packed his team on his back and regained the lead somehow from an opp. with nations longest homecourt winning streak (announcers said it was, I heard it was 3rd--maybe the others lost recently), anyhow, I found that one damn impressive performance... and trust me, that gym is LOUD.

morrison is heady, has velvet touch inside, and not until this year has he even tried to shoot treys with any regularity -- hes a throwback and moves Hondo like without the ball ... Hes no Bird, that talk is ridic ... Bird was all around, passer, rebounder, but this kid is a winner, he led his HS to championship game and didnt have a helluva lot more than him ... But he does possess a burning desire to win beneath the maynard g krebs growth ... Ive seen that will to exceed many times.

+356 for POY at Pinny, tho playing in non big time league ... as far as the UW being shaky on D, Izo is considered a def. guy with his toughness and principles and AM torched them too ... IMO hes hands down POY at this point ... Put him on Duke instead of JJ and i think you'd see a better Duke team (and thats not putting down JJ) sheldon williams is fave at one site for POY, Morrrison is at another ....

anyhow, knowing him since HS days, I might have diff. take on him than some others, but this kid is more than legit, saying anything less makes me wonder if there are any good players

Gman2: my honest nutshell of that game was that Romar nearly cost his team game not b/c of 2pts on T, but that he lost focus for 5 mins when the UW was close to taking control and Zags were in deep trouble in fouls (it was seize game time right then, but AM kept his team fired up)... But after Romar went off, his team mirrored him and lost their concentration and took some horrible shots etc--lucky thing it was with app. 11 mins and not later b/c I honestly think theyd have gagged in closing minutes w/o enuff time to calm back down ... their rebounding sucked for long stretches and they didnt get back on D--i give a lotta credit to Zags tho, playing shorthanded they were in phenomenal shape

I enjoyed the game a lot ... not sure if pac-10 etc offends people in hoops like it does in fball, but it is what it is ...

take care
gregg

yea he only shoots .551 from the field.....I'm starting to see why some compare his style of play to Bird the more I watch him play...

by the way think the pac ten is way down this year...even if it was a little over-rated in years past...

I dont question his fg % or whether he can play. I am just saying thre number of points doesnt give the answer to the question.
