Anyone still use a Antenna for getting their television channels? Why I ask is that I have this elderly neighbor that I sort of take care by mowing their yard or doing small jobs for them that they just cannot do or afford to pay someone and these people will not get a dish or cable. The last time I was in their house they had this big ass tv but everything was snowy and the only channels they were getting were a gospel and the local PBS. I would like to get them a better antenna for Christmas so they could at least get a clear picture and maybe pick up some more channels. Anyone have any ideas on what are the best antennas out there? I am sure I could go to Radio Shack but everytime I leave that store either I feel I paid too much or the stuff doesnt work right.

assistance coming

assistance coming

go to best buy or circuit city and snag one

be sure to get one that plugs in

you should pay between 30 and 60 bucks

don't go any cheaper than 30

you will get some decent reception on many channels

good luck

For OTA reception it doesnt depend so much on the antenna as it does on the area/proximity you are located to the broadcast sites. There are a couple of decent web pages that I wish I had bookmarked that can give you info on that, I will try to find them. We have a simple rooftop antenna to receive HD OTA signals and it works great. Radio Shack should be able to help you out though.
