so your very first play of the year is a GAME OF THE YEAR, thats rich.

Not saying it's a bad play, just seems odd.
Good Luck!

Major pix....I'm not so sure about this being a game of the year....Iowa is ranked 10th in the nation on deffense and are not allowing many points....on the other hand Iowa St. are somewhere above 100 in the nation....Neither team has played anyone too outstanding.....Iowa is shooting much better than them on the free throw line....both have similar records....

I'm kinda leaning towards iowa GL though

What do you mean about not playing anyone yet? Iowa has played Texas, kentucky, NC state, and a pretty good Northern Iowa team- It is barely even December- I like the lean on Iowa-

in the last 5 games they have played NC state....and N Iowa...

Hey I'm with you man...I really like Iowa!

everyone loved Gtown yesterday and the reason they lost is because they got smothered by Illinois Deffense....close games its deffense and free throws that counts....Iowa has both edge

not trying to steal the thread but he's rooting for Iowa...his Avator is Iowa, and Major Pix says Iowa St is the play of the year....Seems obvious enough to me

im not taking a shot at YOU personally whatsoever, but i dont think that system was anywhere near that hot last year. i think it had more than 3 losses before conference play even started last year. do you have a list of those 18 games or a site where you grabbed that stat from? i think that system reached its apex about 3 years ago before it came down to earth the last year or two.

In addition, I think you have to pick your spots with that system. In-state rivalries and traditional "public" teams shouldn't really count into that system, IMO. GL.

Also, was leaning to Iowa St., but looks like everyone is on them, and the line has headed the other way. :scared No play for me. GL.

Gman, thoughts on duke/tex. tomorrow?

no. and i cant say i do have the 18 games. this is something that a fellow capper at another forum kept up with last year. he is a friend of mine. you could be right. right now this year so far im 1-1 with the thoery. with the Tarheels loss to Illinois and N. iowa win against Iowa. im keeping up with it personally this year. so we will just have to see.

really feel like its duke or nothing there. very difficult game though. i have a feeling a lot of people will be on texas and feeling theyre anti-public, which may be true. but that number has really been shaved because of some close calls for duke in the last 2 weeks. i couldnt comfortably back texas unless i was getting 4 or 4.5. i think duke, in typical duke fashion, finds a way to win. but wont be putting money on either side.

re: iowa tonight - this line is interesting.
iowa goes into northern iowa a few nights ago.
is a 2 point underdog.
loses in overtime.
and loses horner to injury.
now theyre on the road again, sans their point guard.... and the line is about the same (and even less now with the line move?)
seems fishy. wouldnt surprise me to see iowa get it done. but iowa burned me the other night when they pissed away a 5 point lead in the final minutes against northern to get to overtime. so im stayin well away from this one.
