Seriously guys u better no bet on this game either way, til u r 100 percent sure on what dungy is gonna do, he could easily bench peyton and company. I think there will be too much criticism on him if he does, but would not be surprised. Hell I am a colts fan but that line could get high enuff by sunday to sell me on it. I am not unrealistic or a homer or a highroller or a cooler.

So let's see what happens watch ur sportsnews folks!!:) And that is what Scotty is waiting for also!:)

Agent,

Fine, you disagree with me. No problem. I've said many times that I welcome differing opinions on games. It just kind of rubs me the wrong way when someone makes offhanded remarks like "save your money" and "quit being a hater" simply because I'm planning on betting against "your" team. Grow up a little huh Ace?

I make no effort to hide the fact Im biased and pasionate about the Colts. I have been since they came to Indy. I apologize if it seemed like I was directing all of those comments at you, as it was more at the people I have had to listen to all year on here and in the media. I had to listen to it on ESPN all week with the Jaguars own us and this and that. And the Bengals, and the Steelers, and now the Chargers. You may win your bet, you may not, the point I was trying to make and Im still trying to make is please explain to me WHY you are betting hard earned money against a team this good? Why would you think they will lose at home? "Save your money"-I still feel that way, and dont call me Ace.
Thanks

Dungy already came out and said its business as usual because S.D is a playoff team. Starters play the whole game.

Ok. I have a better idea of where you're coming from now. And sorry if I got defensive, just felt like I was being attacked there a little bit for posting a pick. Anyway, I like the Chargers next week because I think their offense can puts up against Indy. I know their defense is much improved, but I don't see them shutting down LT. I also think Brees can be effective if he is given time to throw (that is the hard part, stopping Freeney & Co.). On the flip side, Indy is going to score points. No doubt about it. Nobody shuts down Indy's O. I just think SD will be able to score enough to keep it close. I'm not going to crazy on a moneyline bet with SD. Not at all. I do like the points though.

And for what it's worth, I have nothing against Indy at all. I was actually quite happy to see them knock off NE earlier this year. And I know Larry Tripplett fairly well because I went to college with him. He's a very cool guy. Anyway, I wish your team luck. It would be nice to see them win it this year.

Guys if u think the starters will play for colts, I would say jump on it NOW!!! because it will move to easily double digits.

But after what I seen in that game today, where manning tripped on his own feet where he could have easily injured himself, I am just not fully sold on it. Colts avgs wins at home by like 15 ppg..

my take on the game...
I've watched every Charger game for the past five years and while this does not make me an expert I can assure you one thing, The Chargers secondary is awfull, especially Q. Jammer he couldn't contain Miami WR Chambers yesterday and Harrison is going to school him. Jammer is always good for at least one P.I. and one Personal foul per game and he plays at least 10 yards from the line. If the Colts are smart (and I'm sure they already know this) they will attack the Chargers secondary and should be successfull. That is the main reason the Chargers are so good against the run is becasue most teams attack them through the air. I'm sure the chargers will get their points but can they keep up?

Colts 1st half for me

Moe,

You make a good point... the public is so in love with Indy right now that they will probably jump all over them, causing the line to go up. If it opens at anything OVER 7 though, I am not going to wait. Then if it goes up from there, I may put a little more on it.
Not real sure if public jumps on Indy all that much considering they have everything wrapped and SD needs the win. I'm sort of thinking the Bolts if I even play this at all.

The point is mute socal but the reason people throw on them is because they cant run on SD not the other way around. IND will drive down the field all day but the difference will be FGs vs. TDs. You wont see big plays by IND because Jammer and rest of secondary plays with such a cushion.

I beg to differ. If you read today's UT Paper the Dolphins are quoted as saying that they new going in the Chargers biggest weakness was their secondary and they would try to exploit it and they did.

The big plays late in the 4th quarter is what's been the downfall of the Chargers the last two years (See game against Miami). The way the Chargers cover the spread is if the offense goes toe to toe with the Colts. Cause the Colts will get theirs.

I hear you. I just think people look at the film and know thats how to beat us because we have PROVEN to stop the run. Running plays are inherently less risky so one would think that you would keep running until its unsuccessful and then move on. Saban would have loved to establish the running game but knew it would be tough against us.

On another note, Im a huge fan like you but I simply cant place all the blame on the secondary - the pass rush and the schemes needed to be better especially against Ferotte.

Also if SD turns the ball over (i.e., short fields) then forget it. Our TO ratio SUCKS this year.

Thom,

I completely agree with you. I will be on the Bolts. I just meant the public tends to be all over the Colts no matter what the situation is. Personally, I think the situation favors the Chargers big time in this game. I'm just not sure Joe Public will see it that way.
