Better than you NC Defense, I hardly think so, do you Minnesota would have put up 30 against that d. C'mon dude wake up and watch some football, this defense is very good because of their LBs. Take one away and your left with two stellar linebackers. The defensive line is above average but I wouldn't rate them in the top 10 in college. Safety is pretty good but the corners are average. Its a credit to Hawk, Schelegel and Carpenter on how good this defense is. So yes they will be hurt with Carpenter out. If you take off the homer glasses for a lil' bit you 'll see that
