Computer problem

I have something on my computer thats not allowing me to run Norton Anti-virus to its completion.

I use ad-aware and search and destroy. But when I use S&D I get 2 problems but neither can be fixed. The problem title is Command Service.

Anybody know anyway I can get rid of this virus or viruses or whatever it is

Try running it in safe mode. When you start up your computer, press F8 in one second intervals. You'll get a text screen with choices of how to boot. Choose "safe mode" and let the computer boot. The screen will probably look funny but its ok. Run S&D and norton and see what happens.

did the F8 thing but it never gave me an option to run it in safe mode

Hit F8 rapidly. It has to be hit at just the right moment to give you that screen with the options. At one-second intervals you could miss it. Must be done while the Windows logo is on the screen, but before it gets to showing your desktop.

alright thanks.....i think i found the problem....cmdservices...i'll try it again
