If you are trying to help everyone in the forum to make money, and this is a HUGE bet for you, you wouldn't take the time to post analysis supporting your opinion?

I gotta question for you. What makes you so confident Texas defense is so much better than USC defense? You have to think about this because both teams are in different conferences and both teams play different schedules. Saying you watch every Texas games doesn't educate anybody.

As for your prediction. Might happen. But I think it is bold of you to predict Texas holding USC under 30pts. VERY tough to do the past 3 years and especially this season. As for Texas scoring 31. VERY few teams have scored over 30pts against Pete Carroll in the last 4 years. VERY FEW! All in all, bold prediction because you are going against 2 huge historical trends with USC O and USC D.

I would love to read your analysis why you are so confident in Texas.

Granted the Big 12 is very weak this year. USC should have lost to Fresno ST at home and ND on the road. One lucky pass on 4th and nine and a qb sneak away from losing. USC has not faced a team with this much speed all year. Texas will feast on Leinart's inability to escape and run the ball. Texas however has a qb that can run 10 yards in 3 steps, I smell problems for the USC defense.
USC is a very good team and they might blowout Texas, however I think Texas will win the game on the field. The underdog in Championship games, in all sports, normally is a good play, I will bet with the house. USC is a very public team, so is Texas, but I think Texas will get it done one way or another.

I am also taking the points.

Completing a 9 yard pass is luck? I figure completing a hail mary is luck. Witht he offense USC has, QB USC has, the WR's USC has, is a 4th and 9 completion luck? I would say USC had 40% chance at completing that 4th and 9. Less than 40% if USC players couldn't handle pressure.

USC should have lost to FSU? Ummm, it was a close game because USC special teams allowed it. USC also forced FSU to fumble 3 times in 1h and FSU recovered all 3. FSU had 2 TD drives in 2h for 15 yards and 28 yards. It was a close game, but USC should not have lost.

I agree with you taking the pts in any championship game is value. I also agree the Big 12 sucks.

I don't think Texas is as fast as you and the media make them out to be. Texas is SLOW at the DE and LB spot. I think Texas will have a harder time adjusting to USC's team speed vs USC having a hard time adjusting to Texas team speed. Ask Iowa, Michigan, and OU last 3 years. Believe it or not, Pac 10 has a lot of speed in the conf. IMO more than the Big 12.

I agree Youngs mobility may cause problems. USC has had trouble in the past with mobile QB's. But Young isn't as mobile as everything thinks.

You are right Leinart can't escape although he isn't a statue. But USC's OL is excellent and Leinart can make quick decisions. He also has the ability to audible. USC in their offense can use Leinart in 3 step drops and Texas will never lay a finger on him. USC coaches were worried last year about OU's DL getting pressure on Leianrt. USC's OL last year is nowhere near as good as it is this year. So what did USC do? The rolled Leinart out on most plays. USC all year last year used Leinart as pocket passer. In the OB they rolled him out. Worked like a charm.

How are Texas special teams? I know Texas is great blocking punts but how good is Texas returning punts and kickoffs? USC could lose the special teams battle and that could cost USC the win. :(

They block kicks and run backs are great. I think Texas has the advantage for sure. It should be a good game and well played. We will see JAn 4th.

That came out wrong. I don't think Young is like Reggie Bush. People talk of Young having same mobility as Bush. I don't think Young can dominate USC on the ground. I did not watch all Texas games, but the ones I did watch, Texas opponents didn't play disciplined defense. Defenses in the Big 12 SUCKS! Texas OOC was @OSU, La Lafayette and Rice. Ohio St. and A&M played disciplined D. We all know A&M SUCKS on D.

Young averaged 3.8 ypc against OSU and 1.7 ypc against A&M. I can see a player having an off day "passing" but off day running? Especially from QB position where is much easier to run vs a running back.

USC has more team speed on D than both OSU and A&M. We all know USC D will be coached well and play disciplined. Young looked fantastic against Michigan in RB last year. But Michigan wasn't very good defensively and more importantly they were a slow defense. Young took advantage of that. USC is not a slow D. Pete Carroll said USC's DE's are going to have most impact for USC against Texas. We will find out!

One more thing. Every time Young carries the ball, he will get drilled. USC hits VERY hard and causes turnovers. USC will give Young 5 yards but he will pay the price. Against CO and other Big 12 teams, Young bounces off those tacklers. What is important is they often are able to get clean hits on Young but Young breaks the tackles. Defenders repeatedly bounce off Young. He better not do that against USC. (but he will because he is used to doing it in Big 12 play) You wil see. I am afraid this will cause those classic Texas turnovers that Texas commits in EVERY big game they play.

4th straight year media and people in general don't talk about the team speed USC has on defense. They also ignore how physical USC plays on defense. But every BCS bowl game USC dominates defensively. Every BCS opponent USC has faced had one of the best offenses in the entire coutnry! Speed overwhelms opponents and on top of that USC is very physical. I guess it is the perception teams on west coast can't be physical. I have seen quotes weeks ago from Texas players talking about how they will play Texas football and be more physical. Those are the same things Iowa, Michigan and OU were saying. 4th straight year USC says NOTHING but respect for their BCS opponent.
