BGSU/Troy under 142.5: BG is finally getting back to full strength so we should see a pretty good effort from them. Troy is solid defensively and isn't shooting the ball real well. They have scored some points by getting their opponents in a running game. I don't think BG will fall into that trap.
Gonzaga/Eastern Washington over 147: Sort of the opposite of the BG/Troy game. EWU has no fear of getting into running games with these kind of teams and can light up the scoreboard as well. I have Zags scoring in the high 80's which leaves EWU to get 60. I think we will see that.

Miami +7 over Wichita St.: I'm hoping Tim Pollitz is back in action for the Redhawks but even without him, 7 will be enough. Game should be in the mid-60's and Miami is very good at keeping games close.
Colorado -7.5 over TCU: Colorado is pretty good, TCU is pretty bad. Buffaloes should have no trouble scoring against TCU's defense and TCU will not be able to keep up.
Loyola-Chicago +5 over San Diego: Loyola putting together a solid season. San Diego (which, according to Ron Burgundy, means "whale's vagina" ) will have trouble with the physical play.

I think Mississippi St. can control the paint if their guards can avoid turning the ball over. But that has been a problem. If I had to play the game, I would take MSU. Akron hasn't hit their stride just yet, but I think they will once the league schedule starts.
I like Mississippi State's defense and rebounding. The number seems a little too high for me to play the over. MSU just turns the ball over so much at times that I can't bet on them. But, they also are solid defensively (you have to look deeper than just the scores of the games) and usually play hard. These are games that I prefer to stay away from. Too many question marks on both sides.
BG - You'd probably be a bit interested to know that I just got off the phone with my daughter who is honeymooning at the Atlantis Resort. Upper 70's and winning at Blackjack! She wanted to know if Clemson covered.
That is awesome. The conditions were great in the blackjack pit. I was able to spread my bet from 1 to 8 with no heat at all. The rules were good except no resplitting of aces. My wife and I won about $500 in 3 hours and then went back to the ship.
Lord knows she's doing better at Blackjack than I am with Miss. State.
She mentioned that she met a couple Nascar drivers down there too.
I guess they got bounced out from a trivia game at the pool. They didn't know Tony Danza played a boxer in TAXI. Sheesh, guess that law degree was a waste.

Buffalo -15 over Elon: Elon is just not a very good team. They don't shoot very well and are not much better defensively. Buffalo's guards should have a field day. Elon will struggle to get 50 and Buffalo should reach 70.
YSU -1.5 (1st half) over James Madison: YSU has been very good in the first half of games this year. I don't see that changing at home tonight.
Tenn-Martin +6 over E. Kentucky: Statistically, two pretty even teams. I'll take the points with the team that has covered at a high rate this year.
Iowa St. -10 over S. Florida: I like this Iowa St. team. They are experienced and play hard. S. Florida is banged up and really struggling. Double-digit road chalk is usually not a good play but I will take the risk here.
