I like this weeks card... especially this 3 game 10 pointer that I put together.
.

3 Game 10 Point Teaser
Kansas City Chiefs +13
Denver Broncos +0.5
Cincinnati Bengals +1.5

Chiefs +13?First off this is a 5:00pm est kickoff on Saturday and it?s a MUST win for the Chiefs?the Chiefs are coming off of a road loss to the Cowboys in a game that they had the lead?lost it?and would have sent it into O.T. had Lawrence Tynes made a 41 yd field goal?the Chiefs running game is the BEST in the NFL right now because of Larry Johnson and the Best O-Line in the league?this week they face a Giants team that is built small on the D-Line but has been good against the run most of the year?last week in their win over Philly ILB Antonio Pierce went down with an injury and might miss this weeks game pending the results of an MRI?whether Pierce plays or not?the Chiefs should be able to control the tempo of this game by running the ball and exploiting a Giants defense that can be vulnerable to a decent passing game with a good TE (Tony Gonzalez)?I really like the Chiefs match up against the G-Mens ?D??on the flip side?the Giants and Eli Manning struggled at times last week and both of their starting OT?s (Kareem McKenzie and Luke Pettigout) went down with an injury?both are waiting the results of an MRI and could miss Saturday?s game which won?t help the Giants chances of running the ball and protecting Eli?all in all?I know it?s tough to play in Giants stadium in front of a jacked up crowd... but...I'll take my chances with the healthier team that is in a must win situation and getting a generous 13 points in this tease?this one should be decided in the fourth quarter with an outright Chiefs win a definite possibility.
Kansas City 24 New York 20

Broncos +0.5?As I stated last week?stick a fork in the Bills?because they are done this season!...my only regret is not making the Pats a Big Play?the team has lost it?s faith in the organization particularly Coach Mullarkey and their poor effort at home last week against the Division rival Patriots proves it?their O-Line is one of the worst in the league?HB Willis McGahee is playing like he doesn?t want to be in Buffalo any more?and their Defense which was highly overrated at the beginning of the season is just lousy at this time and can?t defend the run or the pass?this week they face a Broncos team that is one of the best running teams in the league and one of the top teams in the league?I feel the Broncos will be able to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and possibly hand the Bills their second blowout loss at Home in as many weeks?even if the Bills play their best ball on Saturday Night 8:30pm est...it won?t be enough to beat a better Broncos team that matches up real well against the Bills.
Denver 27 Buffalo 16

Bengals +1.5?This is a mismatch from the get-go on paper and I expect it to play itself out on the field?the good news is the Lions Defense has one good match up corner in (Dre Bly)?the bad news is?the Bengals have 3 very good receivers (Henry, Houshmanzadeh and Johnson) to cover on Saturday?plus?the Lions Defense which is banged up gave up 171 yards rushing to Samkon Gado on Sunday?this week they face a similar type runner in Rudi Johnson who is arguably better than Gado at this stage?all in all?the Lions Defense versus the Bengals offense is a terrible mismatch which I expect the Bengals to exploit all day long?on the flip side?the Lions offense is struggling and will be without their best HB Kevin Jones because of an injury?QB Jeff Garcia (who for whatever reason remains the starter) has struggled throwing the ball and seems to have lost his arm strength?this week the Lions offense faces a Bengals Defense that has 15 INT?s in just 3 games versus the NFC North this season?a long year for Matt Millen and Co. may get a bit longer on Sunday.
Cincinnati 34 Detroit 14

I'm getting out the Gun! :bigun:

I'll most likely be adding one or two more during the week. :)

GL this week FnG. Always enjoy reading your thoughts. Good stuff!! Like the teaser, playing a 4team13pointer myself...have Indy+5-/Cinn+5/KC+16 and either Dall+15- or Wash+10-. Any thoughts on that last pick? Don't think I can go wrong with either. They're both over key numbers (as are the other 3) and I anticipate a close game :)

If I were playing that teaser I'd go with the Cowboys +15 because I feel it's going to be a close game and the added extra points +15 instead of +10 is a bonus although I don't see either team winning by more than 2 TD's...remember... in their first meeting on MNF Dallas had the Skins "dead in the water" leading 13-0 until Mark Brunell connected with Santana Moss for 2 TD's in the last 2:42 to rally and shock the 'Boys 14-13.
Thanks and Good Luck! :)

Adding this SMALL Play to go with my BIG Play.

I'm going the teaser route again to get the the best value in the lines.

3 game 10 point Teaser
Dallas Cowboys +12.5
Seattle Seahawks +1
Chicago Bears +7

Cowboys +12.5?This is a practically a must game for both teams but a revenge game for the ?Boys....in their first meeting the Cowboys had the Redskins dead in the water leading 13-0 in the 4th quarter but the Redskins rallied to shock the ?Boys on MNF with 2 Mark Brunell to Santana Moss TD?s in the final 2:42?the Cowboys Defensive gameplan to win this one is simple?stop Clinton Portis and force Mark Brunell to beat them?on the flip side?I?m a bit surprised by the success that Drew Bledsoe has had this season but I?m still a bit shaky backing him on the road?however? the Redskins Corners are a bit banged up which could be a key in this game?the Redskins are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 overall while the Cowboys are 7-1 ATS in the teams last 8 meetings and have won 8 of the last 10 SU with their biggest loss being just 6 points 20-14 back on 12/29/02?I expect this one to be another classic Cowboys/Redskins battle which should be decided in the 4th quarter?thus the 12.5 points is a bonus.
Dallas 24 Washington 23

Seahawks +1?I?ll make this one short and sweet?if the Seahawks win on Sunday they will clinch the Home field advantage throughout the playoffs?I like the effort that Jeff Fischer has got from his young team this season?but?they are overmatched and really Banged up at this time?QB Steve McNair is Questionable but should play?both HB?s Chris Brown and Travis Henry are Questionable at this time but both could miss the game?TE Erron Kinney is also questionable but probably won?t play and their receiving core is a mess?the Titans are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 overall while the Seahawks are 3-1 ATS in their last 4 road tilts?all in all?the Titans just don?t have the ammunition to get into a battle with the NFL?s #2 ranked offense and a team that has been playing at the top of it?s game as of late.
Seattle 27 Tennessee 14

Bears +7?The Bears are catching a Falcons team that is really banged up especially on the Defensive side of the ball and a team that is coming off of Monday Night?I really like the way the Bears match up with the Falcons pitting their running game against a Falcons defense (that because of injuries) can no longer stop the run?I feel the Bears game plan couldn?t be any simpler ? just run the Ball with Thomas Jones and Adrian Peterson and let Kyle Orton pick his spots when throwing the football?on the flip side?the Bears Defense matches up really well against the Falcons and won?t let an injured Michael Vick get out of the pocket to beat them?I feel the Bears Run Defense struggled a bit last week against the Steelers because their smallish (but quick) D-Line was overmatched by a bigger Steelers O-Line being played on a snowy field last week?.this week the Bears Defense which ranks 9th overall against the run will be facing a Falcons team that is the #1 ranked running team in the league (because of the added yards that Michael Vick gets each week)?however?the Bears Defense will have a much easier time against a Falcons offensive line which is poor in comparison to the Steelers line of last week?Michael Vick has really struggled in the past against the Bears and I feel Sunday Night will be no different...the Bears are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 at Home and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 meeting with the Falcons?the weather will also be on the Bears side as this one will be played in the cold at night in Chicago?.all in all?I?ll take the Home team to win this one with an added cushion of a TD in this teaser.
Chicago 20 Atlanta 17

Adding this 4 game 13 point tease for a Small Play:

Tampa +18.5...I'm taking my chances that Simms won't get rattled and have some time to be able to exploit a terrible Pats secondary and keep it within this Large number.

Carolina +3...This one is a must for the Panthers because if they lose to a Saints team with Todd Bouman at the helm then they mine as well forget about even thinking about the playoffs.

Chargers +21...I'm taking my chances that the Chargers will leave EVERYTNING they have on the field on Sunday to not only get a much needed win...but to end the Colts undefeated season...I think they will cover 3 TD's!

Packers +16.5...I feel the Pack could notch an outright win in what might be Brett Favre's last MNF appearance...plus...the Ravens might have a hard time scoring 17 points themselves.

GLTA! :)

)

I just need the Bengals +1.5 to cash my BIG PLay...thinking about playing something small since one of my small play teasers Tampa +18.5 was ruined by the Pats Defense yesterday.

Adding this 4 game 13 point tease for a Small Play to make up for the one that lost yesterday because of the Bucs +18.5.

Cowboys +15...I have them in my other Small teaser... but I feel they can win this one outright plus the games between these two have always been close.

Well I cashed my BIG Play but gave some of it back by losing the other teasers :cursin:

For Tonight I put some (very little coin) on the Ravens -3 just to have some action on the game because I'll take the Home team with thye better playmakers on both sides of the ball...minus Brett Favre of course...I bought the 1/2 point just in case. :)

I guess I didn't need to buy the 1/2 point. :mj07:
