A buddy and I were sitting in a bar tonight watching the Pack getting smoked and I started telling him about how good crawfish were. So we came up with an idea for a road trip. We are going to head south after Christmas to pick up a bunch to cook on New Years Eve. We want them alive ..thats the reason for the road trip.Now here is where your help is needed. I have only ate them while I live in Louisianna for 4 years. Its a 20 hour one way trip. We will go that far if need be but I believe we can get them closer.Tennessee, Georgia.etc. So if your state is closer to Wisconsin that sells fresh crawfish let me know. As a bonus ..the first few rounds of drinks wil be on us. :mj14:

unless you're just set on a road trip, how about having them shipped to you live?? You'd probably have more survive this way than driving for 20 hours and trying to keep them alive in the car? Looks like a lot of the storm damaged areas are up and running for this sort of business. Have fun!

How many pounds do you want? A friend of mine owns a rice/crawfish farm in Louisiana. Bumped into him last Thursday, he is heading down Sunday to bring some back up to Wichita. He was going to bring back 70-80 lbs for a party.
I'm sure he would bring back as many as you want. I'll be seeing him tonight. Let me know.

Why do you always have to be killing precious nature Bubba? Cant you and your little friends just eat some plants or something? Driving 20 hours to kill a bunch of crawfish, wow, you freaking psycho! Just drive the 8 hours or so here to Indy and take care of Ron Artest for us.

We have a street party every year for charity, and it used to be a crawfish boil (we can't seem to find anyone willing to donate/partially donate crawfish anymore). I have never really cared for them because of the work/reward ratio. I just always ate the other items in the boil.
