My God, they send this poor guy out there almost daily to answer for them to the press and he looks like he's about to have a nervous breakdown every time.

I don't blame Ari Fleischer for getting the hell out of that job.

personally, i think the guy is right on the verge of a heart attack

he is sweating bullets before he even gets a question

that being said, if i had the job, i would end up ranting and raving at the stupid questions asked day in and day out from some of these senile hacks errrrr..... Helen Thomas and the rest of the morons

Agree with all of that, Freeze.

Including the part about the 'stupid' questions. Man, they ask the same fvcking thing 20 different ways and expect a different answer. They are beyond annoying.

Scott is under the gun, for sure, and I seriously feel sorry for him up there.

I/O- lol, Helen Thomas should be put out to pasture.

Lux- where ya been hiding.

DJV- it's not Scott's fault that he has to explain away some of this stuff. Not sure why you have a hard-on for him.

I don't have a hard on against him. He can walk away if it gets to him. I just know I would have to walk because I don't think I could keep a straight face.

For sure, the guy is stressed beyond belief.

I think that would have to be one of the worst jobs in politics no matter who is President. Because it seems like our press core (or corps???) only cares about the scandals going on.

Damn, I hate how our news is reported.

But that's probably because the journalists are so much more educated than the rest of us. :mj07:

Jeez, you make a half-serious comment for humorous effect, and see where it gets you... :)

But back to the subject, I don't know how they could pay any of these people enough. In a sound-bite world where as a reporter your name is attached to a juicy bite, they surely will not let up.

Imagine the inside dope they have on every topic. Only to stand there and put on the company face (right after the President, or some other vp, went into an F-bomb attack over the subject a few moments earlier in a briefing room).

Anyone else see the lashing Kofi Annan gave a reporter that had been on his ass all year.

I think you're being very cheeky," Annan said. "Listen James Bone, you've been behaving like an overgrown schoolboy in this room for many, many months and years.

"You are an embarrassment to your colleagues and to your profession. Please stop misbehaving and please let's move on to a serious subject," Annan added.

What gets me is someone can say they can't comment on subject and what will next 3 questions that come out be on.
