I wouldn't be surprised if USC wins this game. This heels team is pretty good but with youth comes inconsistency. The final box scores of the Santa Clara and St Louis games are very misleading. Those were both very tight games that unc could have easily lost. Their offense is not very good despite the numbers they've put up. Their outside shooting is very weak, if you take out the kentucky game where they were on fire there is not much to look at. If there's one thing I've learned from betting on sports these past several years it's that whenever something looks too good to be true line-wise, well, it probably is.

Note to self: you're a moron.

I'm sorry you lost scott, i lost this one as well. SHouldn't have 2nd guessed it.

So. Cal
unc is not a good shooting team......traveling cross country was not a good proposition despite playing an equally bad shooting team in sc.....

didnt like this game at all......but glad to see the pac-10 get a win finally vs a power conf.

Among Libtards!!
Wow, thought USC was a good play tonight but not like that. That USC team obviously caught a young and inexperienced UNC team in there home gym tonight and when things started to go bad for UNC about half way through the second half, the inexperience really showed as the wheels fell off the bus....and while I won't go as far as to say USC is a world beater by any stretch, they do have a couple of pretty solid players....and overall seem to be a very athletic team. Also, joke as some like to about tim floyd and his coaching prowess, but I think he was a good coach at ISU and he is doing a pretty good job at USC already it seems. It was a nice win for that program and conference regardless of what UNC is right now.

Scott,
Thought everything you said made since, tough loss. Especially when its against your team. That kind of stuff used to happen to me all the time. Therefore I don't bet my favorite teams. Its nuts how many times I've been on the losing end when I bet my teams. I saw your post early yesterday and ended up watching the game to see if you got your win. Everything just went USC's way last night. I totally quit doing basketball after getting my butt kicked year after year. If it makes you feel any better I had money and a parlay on UTEP last night.

great halftime talk by ole roy. it took them at least 10 minutes to work the ball inside to tyler where they had advantage. he had only 7 or 8 shots for the game and should have had 15.

I knew this thing stunk, glad I steered clear. This team is too young and doesnt know how to impose its style on to other teams. They just kinda go with whatever the other team does. Retarded they didnt feed the post more. Saint, nice note :mj07:

Well that SUCKED! :cursin:

I didn't get to watch the game even though it was on TV. Was my Grandma's 75th. I just saw the final result. I am shocked USC won by 15pts. I knew I would lose my bet if USC 3 headed monster had big night and drained 3's. But I thought if that happened, IT STILL would been close game. USC shot 57% behind the arc making 12 treys. USC 3 headed monster had 18,18, and 16pts. Those are the only 3 legit players USC has. Of course, when I bet against them, all 3 come to play! :(

Another note. I GET BURNED EVERY TIME I BET AGAINST USC IN HOOPS. Well only 2 times. 3 or maybe 4 years ago I bet 17k to win over 5k on Arizona ML to beat USC @USC. Easy bet. (sorta like this one) USC won! I am some type of jinx. But USC was completely outclassed against veteran solid Zona team. I knew UNC was young and travel across country etc. But that was risk I easily take and would take again. If UNC played USC on Sunday @USC, I bet 2k again on them ML.
(NOT 10k even if USC wins BCS NC) :mj07:

On a personal note, this loss hurts. I won 3k last 2 weeks. I used most of it to by gifts. Now I lost 2/3k tonight. ;142loser: I was getting too greedy and pushing it! (which I often do) But I was on fire. Last week I won a freaking ROMANIA BASKETBALL GAME! :mj07: I still don't even know the score of it. I just know I won. Last nights bet was the one I was most confident in the last 2 weeks. Oh well. :(

Sorry to anybody who followed but IMO I had solid reasons for backing UNC and like I said, I do it again in a heartbeat if they played again. Looks like others had BETTER reasons "not" to play UNC. I thank you for posting those in my thread. Good news for me is I am confident in my statement USC will be major contenders in hoops 4 years from now. I am going to start getting into USC hoops! :) USC team now is garbage except for 3 perimeter players. Floyd doing solid job. Future is bright! USC backed their way into hiring Carroll. USC backed their way into hiring Floyd!

we cap much the same way in that there are some bets that, even though you lost, you have no regrets and would make the same bet again if they played tomorrow. then there are those that we just laugh at ourselves and move on.

its pretty safe to say that usc probably wouldn't hit quite that % from 3pt range if they played tomorrow, but would you really lay down that same kind of money knowing that carolina turned the ball over 25 times? thats something that normally is a red flag. coaches know that sometimes they run into a hot shooting team. but those turnovers should be alarming. if theyre turning the ball over 25 times at southern cal, i shudder to think of how they'll hold up in that department in college park or durham.

i no what u mean.. this same exact thing happen to me this past weekend. I was on fire. i turned 250 into 2700 in about 5 hours. for the day i was up like 4000. then I GOT GREEDY. i went to the NBA won 2 games an then i saw the Knicks vs Pacers. Knicks at home and the line was +2.5 also i saw the cavs vs Mia cavs -2.. So i put 500 on a 2 team if bet. first game being the Knicks And second cavs..hit submit. leave for 15 mins & came back to computer to check the scores. Knicks winning & cavs winning. so i go look at my bet. Thats when it happened. Somehow my bet did not go through. So i get mad and lose control. Halftime comes and cavs up 20 and knicks up 4. So now im like cant bet on cavs since they are up so much, but I REALLY THINK THE KNICKS WILL WIN THIS GAME. They are up 4 and the 2nd half line was Pacers -2.5... Im like money in the bank. I rick $3000 of my 4000 that i just won on the KNicks +2.5...third quarter goes by and the knicks are still winning. so i leave the house. I got to my girls house and then check the final scores. Knicks lose by 6. Im like WTF...yeah man i under stand greed 100%. ill never do that shit again. i should have quit while i was ahead. I was happy that i still had a winnning day but pissed that i literally BLEW 3 Grand on the ****ing Knicks who cant beat anyone... :banghead: :mj01: :mj16:

one of the "old school" gamblers I knew used to have a saying
"Pigs get fat hogs get slaughtered, don't be a hog." I've always tried to keep that in mind when I start thinking of biting off more than I can chew. GL
