UMass plus over St Peters ****** strong,strong play
Mass will win this outright.Wrong team favored.
Mass is the better team.Front court is lite yrs better then Peters.Freeman at 6'9 is one of the best players in the A-10.He can also post up and that is where Peter will be in trouble.Viggiano at 6'6 can score.But 6'8 Lasame is Peters biggest problem.He is 3rd in the nation in blocked shots and half his bds are off rebounds.Freeman also hits the off bds.Mass gds are big with Life,Thomas, and Maxwell.Lowe is the Mt vernon kid I watched the past 3 yrs in the NY State finals.Only a puppy but will be a great pt gd.Also 6'8 Milligan will play.He's a local kid who trasnferred from Pitt.He only played in 1 game with 7 pts and 8 bds.
Mass has won 2 in a row beating Siena by 9 and BU by 19.They lost to Conn pretty bad,UAB by 9 and Davidson by 3.
Peter has won 5 in a row and thats with Keekee in a shooting slump.He's avg 23 pts a game but shooting 24-85 from the 3.Sowell has played well in his last few games avg 14 pts and 10 bds.Orta the frosh is avg 12 pts and has hit 21.. 3's.But they have very little inside game.Bozovic cannot score even though he is 6'9.
Peter has beaten Niagara by 3,FDU by 5,Canisius by 5,Monmouth by 13 and lafayette by 3.All these wins are vs avg teams.
Mass is bigger,quicker,more athletic and Lasame and Freeman inside will negate Clarks outside shooting.Peters post defense and keeping Mass off the bds will be there problem.
The game is in Madison Square garden.
UMass wins this and doesn't need the 5 pts.
