I was told last night that one could buy an "air card" for the laptop.

Supposedly, It is a PCMCIA card that allows you to access the internet anywhere there is a signal, just like a cell phone. I'm just starting the investigative process, but any help would be appreciated.

:welcome: I've had one for almost two years. Kinda sucks becuase you never leave work. I am always checking work e-mail and info. :cursin:

What service do you have and how does this affect your minutes? Or is there a seperate charge for this service?

They're great. You can pick up e mail or Madjacks while sitting in the back of a cab on the highway. Only 50 bucks a month. Well worth it for me.

Can get them through any of the major wireless phone providers.

If you are attached to your laptop, it's a handy thing to have.
