Billy just e-mailed me.
So far.....drum roll....

The days number is 97 envelopes and 1675 dollars plus 58 envelopes from Friday and Saturday which total 743 dollars give us a grand total of 155 envelopes which equal 2418.00 dollars.

WOW, that's awesome news Box. I sent $20 out on Saturday ($5 from me, my sister, brother and step-mom). Please keep the updates coming. Lord knows in this day and age there isn't a whole lot of good news being reported. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Got an e-mail from Billy late last night.Herb is "moved" by this.His mother has come over to help since Billy has to go to work.Like I told you before Herb became a born again Christian.He feels a lot of this is spirtual.He believes in the goodness of people and is still dumbfounded by who did this.
He thinks it's coming from North Texas Univ.I posted at one of there web sites and screwed up by saying "you can say it's from an angel from NT".The only reason I did that was because the NT response was terrible.Many thought it was a scam and since very few know me there they didn't trust me.
But a few good ones sent out letters.So his only clue are a few letters with NT on them.
I told Billy,please let Herb know that in no way is this from UNT.
yyz..I posted in 2 other sites also besides the NT one.
But madjacks by far with the volume of people here is the biggest contrubitur.[sp]
The response is overwhelming here.Mr Madjack has a lot to do with that.

Nol..Billy is trying to figure out how to place the envelopes on a map next to each state.
Also he will bring his digital camera and take a picture of Herb in a few weeks.Maybe watching a flat screen TV.

in the last year or so i've drastically cut back on my charitable donations. there have just been too many stories about how the charities get such a small percentage of the donations. i was honored to be part of this however.

This is truly a feel good story ............I'm sure that Herb's story this Christmas would be a media event! You are a true friend and Herb is lucky to have you and Billy in his life. Now, I'm curious who will win the farthest letter sent? I'm in California, but I know others are in the Middle East..........I would be curious, and this should keep him busy. Where does he work? I hope his New Year is as great as his Christmas!
