A good holiday fully compensates for regrets over some missed opportunities during the Bowl games to date, but I was attentive enough to tail gman2 on both of his MAC plays, and get on board with a play on Navy (all small plays).

Boston College(Pk) over Boise State (1*)
- - Play previously posted in my Bowl Summary thread . . . With every rock I've turned over, I've caught a whiff of a BC team that matches or exceeds the host in their motivation and focus (and I don't even have a keen sense of smell with my various allergies) . . . Peel away the shiny surface, and there resides a youthful Broncos team that can be overpowered through their stacked box on defense, and lacks a kick ass playmaking mode on offense to uncork as an alternative to make a quality opponent blue. I'll fly with the substance beneath the Eagles in elevating their play in this one.

I played the Eagles @ pick'em too. Without trying to psychoanalyze this game BC looks like the play.

:wall: Is it safe? BC 27 Boise 21
It's a marathon, not a sprint . . .

TEASE Georgia Tech(-2) w/ Oklahoma(+9) (1*)
- - I see a live dog in the late game, and an overmatched dog in the early game; but I've benefitted since October from plays on a fine Oregon team, and Utah is likely to stay within touch in a game that shouldn't feature a scoring fest. I'm not completely sold on either game, and I like the numbers that are covered in both by a teaser, so that's where my one unit is being invested in today's action.

South Carolina(-3)(-120) over Missouri (1.50*)
Missouri(+4) over South Carolina (1.50*)
- - South Carolina(-3)(-120) originally posted in my Bowl Summary thread A closer look as the game draws near has me rating the game a toss up, so I've hedged my original play accordingly.

Minnesota(-6)(-105) over Virginia (1*)
- - The Cavaliers under HC Al Groh have yet to turn the corner when it comes to responding to significant adversity or prosperity preceeding a significant challenge away from home . . . It's practically a Gopher tradition to bounce back well after stewing for over a month over a thrashing at the hands of Iowa and/or Wisconsin. The rapidly escalating imbroglio over the status of Minnesota HC Glen Mason and his staff can easily serve as a rallying point throughout a tight knit and veteran team.

UCLA(-2')(-113) over Northwestern (1*)
- - UCLA has not been difficult to read this year, IMO. A prickly squad from SoCal will have to earn it :mj07: and special teams will contribute largely to the success or failure.

The final play of the year - Let's hope it's a good one.

TCU(-2) over Iowa State (1*)
- - After 60 minutes, I don't think ISU is the better team that wants it more in this spot and denies TCU.
