NFL YTD (17-12-1)
I was really excited for this weekend's card considering there are so many good teams in a must-win situations playing against bad teams. Unfortunately Vegas decide to inflate the lines to a ridiculous level. Because of that I'm not playing much this weekend, just one parlay and one teaser. I rarely play parlays or teasers, but there honestly wasn't a single side that I liked this week. So here they are:
NYG -2.5/Wash pk - I'm pretty confident about the Skins being able to win in Philly. They are the better team and actually have something to play for. I'm not impressed at all with Philly and I don't see Washington's defense giving up many points in this one. Doesn't matter if it's Ramsay or Brunell for me, I think they win either way. As for the Giants, I'm less confident about that one. I don't like backing the Giants on the road, or backing Eli for that matter, but it's another must-win in which the better team is playing an awful team. The Giants are a frigging MASH unit right now. Just riddled with injuries. I really don't think they will cover the spread in this one, but do think they can win by at least a FG. Believe it or not I think this one will be close, but I like the Giants.
Carolina/SD/NYG/Wash (ML) - I know, I know, what's up with a four game ML teaser?! Let me first say that this is a small play. And I rarely play ML games or parlays, so this is a rarety for me. I just like all of these teams to win and considering I can win twice as much as I bet on this one I figured, what the hell? I already talked about the NYG and Wash games, and I think SD should win because I don't think they will be playing as many bench guys as Denver. I think that one will be closer than a lot of people, but I do think they will win. The Carolina game, I think, will be a nailbiter. Earlier in the week I loved Carolina, but the more I look at this one the more it worries me. They SHOULD win this game, but stranger things have happened. This is a HUGE revenge game for Atlanta, they are at home, and they have a chance to knock Carolina out of the playoffs. There's no way they will come out flat. And anyone who knows me knows how much I love betting against Atlanta. I just don't think they're a very good team. So this is saying something. I expect it to be a dogfight, but I do like Carolina to sneak away with the W.
Like I said before, didn't like the card very much this week. The first play was an average-sized one and the second play was small.
GLTA and Happy New Year's!!!
