YTD 32-22

Kent -4
BG -10

Off to work now, will try to get back later with some reasoning, and maybe a total play as well.

I will say now that the Zips have lost Bubba, they have become a better defensive and more athletic team, at the cost of losing a very good 3pt scorer. I will be looking hard at playing the Zips under tonight, but was surprised by the low number.

Will add a play on the Zips -1. If the Zips are in the upper echelon in the MAC , as they believe that they are, then this a game they should win. As stated before I believe that in many aspects that Akron will be a better team without Walther. Middleton brings much more defensive intensity and quickness to the floor, and Ball State is lacking in weaponry without Stovall. Akron should hang with the Cards on the glass as well. The Zips are simply the better team here and should walk away with a road win.

I think that this will be a 64-57 type game, so tossing a half unit on the under as well @131.

been meaning to drop you a line to say thanks again for the new years eve hoops. akron looked very, very good that game. wright state is a middle to upper-tier horizon team and the zips just embarrassed them. best ive seen akron look in a long time. if they bring that defensive effort tonight, ball state is in a world of trouble

My pleasure, I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Hopefully I'll get you down here again before the seasons end.

The Zips took their first lead of the game at 62-60 in an 18-4 closing run that turned a 10 point deficit into a 4 point victory. Akron really gutted it out on a night when their offensive game was far from their best. Any road win in this league is big, so this is a good first step for the Zips.
