Thanks

I don't think there's any rule against it. In fact, wasn't Dan Reeves once traded for picks? I could be wrong but it seems to ring a bell...

Edwards still under contract to coach the Jets. Jets have every right to hold him to his contract and not let him take the Chiefs offer. If the Chiefs want him, the Jets can ask for compensation.

Not that it applies here (as Herm is black), but I wonder if a team could get in trouble these days for trading for a white coach without interviewing a black candidate first. If you are HIRING for a head coaching position you must now interview at least one minority candidate. But if you trade for a white coach that already has a valid contract with another team, does that still apply? Maybe the Chiefs are really working at trading for Jon Gruden, but have to try to trade for Herm first to meet quota.

read that the chiefs are backing off for now hoping the jets will fire him so they dont have to give up draft picks. cant see that happening and personally i would not want edwards dont know what is up with him but seems many people get injured on his team dont know if that is his conditioning program bad luck or what.

Jets traded picks to New Engand for Parcells/Got Picks from New england fo belick! I think Herm is an Outstanding coach. I've watch every Jet Game for the last 20+ years. They play hard for him every Week. Playoffs 3 of the last 5 years. This might be the last starw/The one that broke the Camels back.Jets can Hire Rich Kotite. Maybe that worthless piece of Garbage Marriuci. How about the head Loon Mike Martz. I might have to sell a room full of Memorabilla and become a Phucking Chiefs Fan.

Will Madjacks let me be

No Disrespect, No Disrespect , to quote a former Jet coach, to Jets fans but we will get a chance to see what kind of coach he is with a real NFL team. What have the Jets been doing & why would any team give that guy with that arm,all that money to play qb when and if he was not hurt. Look at the coaches that have walked away from the Jets. The jets as an organization have failed for years. If they were any place other than NY; who would even care ?

Can't wait for the first time the Chiefs are 1st and goal and take a delay of game penalty because Herm can't get the play in on time......NYJ fans know this scene all too well. Goodbye Herm, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

You Guys Are Screwed up. Did Herm give Chad Pennington the Contract? No Did he call the Plays? No Did he let coles get away for Nothing? no Did he trade Santana Moss to get coles back? No
Did he get the team to the playoffs 3 out of 5 years? Yes Did any other coach do that in JETS History?NO Were The Jets decimated by Injuries this year?Yes Did they play hard every week after they knew the didn't have the horses? YES!!!! This is an Awful Day for True Jets Fans as we will surely return to the Days before Parcells! Remember those? We came a bad day by a kicker from going to the AFC championship game Last year,DO YOU REMEMBER???How many NFLOwners would give there left Nut to have there Team in the Playoffs 3 of 5 Years????? Woody Johnson/Great Name/Another Stupid Owner/Jeez This Sucks
I think i will become a Chief Fan. They know there Football.

Listen, Herm is a presence in the locker room. Players like him-want to play for him as was evidence by the sorry ass Jets squad buried by injuries. The key is hiring solid as. coaches that won't screw w/the Offense (language, terminology or otherwise) because you may lose Roaf & Shields who are not going to jack around w/some circus learning some new BS scheme by a clown like Pauk Hackett.

They should back Herm up w/Norv Turner as O.C. who is familiar w/the scheme. However, if I was Norv, I would sit on my ass and ride out the deal I signed w/Big Al. I think he would void his contract if he took an asst. coaching role w/other team? KC may be able to come close on the $$ and the vendetta may be large enough for Norv to want to stick it in Davis' ass. Don't get me wrong I like Al Davis. He never gets the credit he deserves for his role in making this league what it is- probably because he is a jackass in a FILA suit. That is why he is great.

Herm will be the best Head Coach option for the Chiefs, but he must have the right people around him. Gunther Cunningham should remain as D coordinator and be allowed to bring his crew in. He was dealing w/Vermeil panzy asst.'s all year. He brings his boyz in; this D should be in top half of league. My $.02- KC perspective,

P.S. Good Luck Jets on your new head coach.......alot O' options out there.
