Kosar beat me to it, but I don't ever recall the irish having limited resources. and according to you USC also has no regrets because they played their best? Anyway irish are poised for a run next season, should be fun to watch.

As far as limited resources? Are you kidding? ND has one of the best offenses in the country and they were shut down. Their resources must have been pretty good to lose to USC on the last play of the game.

On a broader scale, their 'resources' include their own network and the fact that they don't have to split bowl money (14.5 million in this case, which OSU has to split with the rest of the Big 10). Add to that their alumni donors and they actually have unlimited resources. They also have a huge advantage in recruiting as a result of their tradition and exposure.

I'll tell ya, as arrogant and obnoxious as many ND fans are, i've never heard that one. The 'poor ND, they are sooo disadvantaged and working with limited resources' routine. That's a good one.

Expand your horizons and dont be so narrow minded. Think broader in terms of resources. ND football players undergo a far more rigorous academic program and requirements once enrolled in ND. Furthermore, ND players have higher SAT scores and GPA's than OSU players. What does that mean? That means ND is LIMITED IN RECRUITING!! When ND goes to look at an athlete, we dont just look at their high school stat sheet and video tape, then give them a cadilac and ask them to come to ND.

ND will only take well-rounded individuals, who exceed in life on and off the field. For example, kids who get suspended in high school dont get in. Kids who dont meet certain grade and SAT requiremetns , FAAAAAAAAAR above OSU's requirements dont get in. If you dont believe me I will look up the average SAT and GPA of entering freshmen for each school, dont make me embarass you!! Kids with track records of trouble and arrests dont get in.

What does all this mean? It means OSU can go grab some SCUMBAG like Maurice Clarett off the football field and hand him a helmet when the fukker doesnt even go to class. At ND that is NOT the case. Just because you run a fast 4.0, that doesnt mean you can go to ND.

This LIMITS THE TALENT POOL that ND can select its recruits from. Even if they RECRUIT some kids, they are BOUND TO REQUIREMENTS when deciding if they can admit certain students or not. The policy is VERY SIMILAR to BC and Stanfords requirements. These schools are at a distinct DISADVANTAGE talent wise, because they cant go after the best PHYSICAL athletes. They have to be more picky.

Did you attend college? Do you know what its like to work hard in college and earn a degree? More ND players earn degrees than OSU players. The football program at ND has perhaps the HIGHEST graduation rate of any in the country.

thats the stuff the ND football program undertakes that LIMITS its resources. Who gives a fukk about money man? Money buys stadiums, equipment, recruiting trips, expensive dinners, and thats about it..
----MONEY DOESNT BUY BRAINS OR GRADES!!, AND THATS WHAT ND FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE, THAT PUTS THE PROGRAM AT A DISADVANTAGE!!

So getting back to the point, the team is lucky just to be able to compete in big games like the Fiesta Bowl. Hell, nowadays, ND is lucky to have a winning program. Success at ND is measured by wins per season nowadays, not national championships like the standard at OSU may be. ND accomplished its goal of taking NOTHING and making something out of it. OSU took PLENTIFUL resources, and spun it into NOTHING , because they end the season right where they started, #4.
