You are now on the clock! What a debacle that game was last night for them. Do they take Vince Young and keep him in Texas, or the Bush man. I dont know if there is room enough for that much Bush in Texas :scared And poor Matt Leinart, looks like he should have walked last year. Now his stock has dwindled and hes another year older, and with all the talent coming out this year I can see him dropping like a certain Mr. Aaron Rodgers! How could a team pass on Vince after last night?

I still harbor doubts about Vince's ability to scan a Professional Defense and find the open gap.

Last night Vince was awesome, but his offense was very basic and USC doesn't have the staunches of defensives.

If I'm Houston, I'm trading down and picking up more pics to help my lines which are horrible. If no one will trade, Bush is still the #1.

i respectfully disagree with this part of your statement. i want to ask if you are basing it on last night's game, but if you are?...i don't see where his performance was that bad??

nothing has happened this year for him to have "walked last year".

his stock has not dwindled.

and "he's another year older"?? he is still plenty young with alot to learn.

i'm not saying he's next next great coming of quarterbacks, just disagree that playing his last year at USC somehow hurt him.

vince young is the man, i'm curious if he can do the same against a pro defense. if i was houston i would do whatever it took to get some off linemen.

More importantly, who are the Titans going to take at #3!!!

I wish Pacman Jones was in the draft again, so we could choose him one more time. :cursin:

personally I am not sure what either would do fo Houston. But to trade that pick has a ton of possibilities. The could get a ton for a team that needs a RB bad or a QB that is a tremendous athelet. Like the Vick to Atlanta deal. I think it is a waste for houston to take either player, or it would waste a few of Bush or youngs playmaking abilty. Ask David Carr about being in the houston pocket.

i heard some announcer say that the texans should try and get a herschall walker type trade. that trade built the cowboys dynasty of the 90's. if they can find a big enough fish, they should go for it. man i wish dallas could get vince young, i know i'm dreaming. i doubt he would dominate as much in th epro's, but he's gotta be better than their current situation.

Honestly, BUSH, LEINART and YOUNG are no slam dunks to succeed in the NFL. There are question marks with all of them. All 3 can dominate CFB but CFB is not the NFL.

People forget, Texas and USC had the 2 best OL's in CFB. Amazing lineman. Veteran too!

This is how I would rank them.

#1 Bush
#2 Leinart
#3 Young

In last nights game based on performances.......

Young was best player on field that night. Leinart #2 and White #3.

I am most imrpessed with Youngs 30/40 passing and no INT's. I said USC prob. loses if Young throws 20/30 and no INT's.

I think Leinhart would thrive with Norm Chow, but it will take a few years, of course. I think the Titans are okay at RB, but Bush and White would be an upgrade. We simply must address our QB situation.

I have to agree with Scott on his rankings of the three for the NFL:

1. Bush
2. Leinhart
3. Young

Mel Kyper brought up a good point on the radio earlier today.

Would you rather have Michael Vick or Drew Brees and Ladanian Tomlinson? Hell, I think you at least have to consider taking Brees straight up over Vick (if you are not including jersey sales and other increased revenues).

You spend some money and sign some free agent lineman. I agree that the Texans need O line help but RB like Bush are few and far between. How many O lineman really help a team in there first year they will be 2-3 years away.

Do you think or has anyone heard that they will trade down? Is anyone head over heels for Bush or Young that would offer the mega deal to move up?

Vanbasten- Always value your opinion, but dont you think Leinart would have been better off coming out last year? Coming off the Heisman and a National Championship. I felt like his lack of mobility and arm strength have really been exposed but I could be way off.

You put a good line out there, and anybody is going to excel, especially a good qb like Carr.

imho, running backs in the NFL are a dime a dozen. Look at that guy for the Packers who was a third stringer at Liberty University and did pretty well the games he started. If he can play, I'm sure there's thousands that can.
