Had no plays last week. Closing regular season record was 38-23-2 (60.32%) +16790

On to the playoffs.

Washington coming to Tampa to play my Bucs. The fact that Tampa is 11-5 and a division champ is amazing to me. Coming in to the season Tampa was looking at a 7-9 or 8-8 record as far as I was concerned. The Redskins went into a tailspin after losing to the Bucs in controversial fashion, but have righted the ship and argaubly playing the best football in the conference the last several weeks.
I look for the Redskins to go to school on what the Patriots did to stop Simms. The redskins will force the Bucs to Pass by stuffing the run. I dont think the Bucs will be able to run and I look for the Skins to take Galloway away. They will Blitz and stunt and confuse Simms. This is a bad matchup for the Bucs offense this week.

The other side of the ball, the Redskins power running game will weare the Bucs down. I know the bucs only give up 94 yards on the ground a game but I think that is very deceiving. Teams simply don't run nearly enough on Tampa. Look for Gibbs and company to set up the run with some early screens and some deep throws to moss. Things should open nicely from there.

Skins +2.5
1100/1000
24-6 final

New England at home in the playoffs is money in the bank. The line is 7.5 and it doesn't scare me at all. The pats weathered the storm and are ready to try and defend their championship and this matchup suits them just fine. I think leftwich will be very rusty in this game and Belechek will have some things in place to confuse him. The Jags closed with a ridiculously easy schedule and now are coming into their first tough game in 4 weeks. Foxbourough will be a lions den and Brady should be able to do enough to put 21 on the board which will be enough to cover the spread after adding the td that the defense will score.

Pats -7.5
550/500

31-17 final

I think you're on the ride side on New England Clem, but with the way Washington played last week how can you say they're the hottest team in the conference??? Mike McMahon made their secondary look like swiss cheese. Also, Washington has anything but a power running game right now. Portis has been getting his yards because Gibbs is FINALLY running some plays that cater to his ability. Washington has been running alot of singleback stretch, toss, and counter plays ala Denver. It has been working beautifully, and Portis even put up 144 on Tampa. But now that Gruden has film to break down will he do the same thing?? I doubt it; Tampa is the kind of speed D that usually slows down the Denver style. The Redskins certainly can win this game, but Tampa is no joke of a team, especially at home. Everyone seems to have dug their grave already, lol.

Oh ya one more thing Clem......you really should consider moving to Pinnacle, especially if you're going to continue wagering higher amounts. If the Skins lose, you're paying an extra $60 vig. That really starts to add up. If you're worried about the IRS, you can just get a Neteller debit card; I believe Neteller leaves it up to you to declare anything in that account. So with the debit card, you could transfer winnings over and get your cash out of the ATM, or just use it for expenses. Good luck this week Clem, you've been a great capper this season, i'm worried to be on an opposite side!!! :mj14:

Both picks are solid. Good luck.

Redskins need to protect Brunell and let him throw the ball. They need to go deep a couple times and test out the secondary. Its very overrated(seems like there have been more pass interferences or catches than turnovers/dropped passes). I dont want the Redskins to win, but it definately is a strong play imo.

Well thought out reply. Thats what this all about

As mike Mcmahon moved the ball well when the redskins woke up they shut his ass down and caused turnovers. The bucs achilles heel is the run this will be exposed imo.

Good luck.

Skins will be able to run....

Skins will be able to run....

Skins rolled up 185 yds rushing vs. the Bucs in Nov. game in TB...while only allowing Cadillac and Co. only 61 rushing yds.....

plus, Skins were minus Sean Taylor and Griffin on defense....

i see the Skins being able to run and control clock...the only thing is, hopefully Brunell won't commit t/overs....

Sorry you lost.

I got an email from someone on here who also lost the last two bowlgames following me. Asking me if I had anything hot so he could get his money back on.

If guys are betting what they cant afford it is not my problem. I feel bad but I cant put that kind of pressure on myself.

This is supposed to be fun guys

Yeah. King-Money loses all credibility in my book with that guilt-trip comment. Those types of comments show a man's true colors. Pathetic when somebody can't take responsibility for failure. I bet that when he takes your bets and they win he is bragging about his picks.

Taking the bengals at home. Love them getting the fg at home in this spot. The teams split this year and neither team held homecourt. I think the Bengals will come out stong and Carson Palmer and Rudi will get i done. Look for the Steelers to try and concentrate to take CJ away which will free up space for Rudi, and allow Carson to pick them apart. The Steelers will be able to run and should score some points, I just can't see them keeping up.

Bengals 41-27

Clem,

You seem to buy points for insurance quite often...why would you not buy the hook with the Skins to get 3?

Clem: Wash did not look to great against a very poor Philly team last week, they were lucky to win the game. If philly does not turn it over 6x's Wash might be home watching on TV. I do like your Cinnci pick and NE is $$ in Dec & Jan . Gl Cash

Giants at home are tough to go against but here is why I am.

Going by my preseason power numbers the panthers should have been a 4 point choice in this game. Before the Giants season started I had them pegged anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7. They overachieved. The Panthers on the other end I had pegged between 11-5 and 13-3. They underachieved bigtime. The question is this. If both teams play their best game who wins? Well Carolina's offense has not played well most of the year, but this Giant Defense is banged up and Carolina should be able to run, The Giants will have to double Steve Smith as they have noone who can cover him one on one.
On Defense the Panthers should benefit from a conservative gameplan from Giant coaches who will try to keep Eli upright as much as possible. Look for tiki to get his yards but at some point the giants will fall behind in this fashion and Eli will have to throw it. Peppers and company will be looking for the knockout.

Usually at playoff time the young QB and team that was not expected to get here show that they are a year away. This is one of those days.

Panthers 27-21

Washingtons defense had a little something to do with those turnovers.

I toyed with that idea. Normally I buy points when I have a fav to get off of 7 or 3. Your right this makes sense in this spot to do so. My reason is this:

I can not see my Bucs winning the game here.

Who knows??
