This is the dumbest comment ever by ESPN.
NFL Sources say Texans will take Bush over hometown product Vince Young.

Please. This is a team with no coach, a GM with Dan Reeves looking over his shoulder, and a owner who loves the Longhorns.

It is way to early to say what they are going to do.
Remember Reeves is the man who traded up to get Vick.

If it is that simple then that means that the Texans are keeping Carr and giving him the 8M bonus option. If they are taking Bush no matter what then why are they waiting to pay Carr.

FACT IS, they dont know what they are gonna do.
My huntch is Bush, but I would not put any cash down on that.

Bush has not even said he is leaving for the NFL. How stupid will everyone look if Bush comes back?

BTW, Carroll told Bush he should go PRO because he is the #1 player at his position and prob. #1 pick overall. BUT Carroll also told Bush if he comes back, he could become the greatest player to ever play and try and win 2 Heismans and 3 National Championships.

.001% chance Bush comes back! :mj07:

The Texans owner has been saying w/o "officially" saying that he wants Bush for the last month or so.

I think VY would be a nice fit as the hometown boy...season ticket sales would skyrocket. Supposedly thought the owner loves Carr there & just thinks he has miscoached & such...

Who knows I just hope VY doesnt end up in New Orleans if he goes pro....

If Vince comes out I can't see how the Texans can pass on him. The marketing alone in his hometown would be priceless. The NFL is buisness first, and football second.

If Vince doesn't come out, I agree w/ ST that they should trade the pick for as much as you can get.

If they allow Dan Reeves to make the decision they are doomed.

what a dumb ass he is and was. Reeves set the Falcons back ten years before he left. Draft picks were the worst.

I watched every game he coached for the Falcons.

Believe me he sucked.

Sideline decisions and half time corrections were non-existant.

If he becomes GM or worse yet, coach. Yikes.

Last I checked he did take the Falcons to a Super Bowl.

Still don't know how the Vikings lost that NFC championship game. I thought they were a machine, but Reeves does deserve a bit of credit, he's been to a few bowls.

Scott - would like to here what you have to say, but after watching the game on Wednesday and the replay tonight (as well as a few USC games this year), I have to say White WILL be the better pro......I can't see him staying

I see Bush as a faster Peter Warrick in the NFL......

Texans staff and others outside the organization they talked to thinks Carr is worth keeping. I tend to agree. I never thought Carr was a train wreck of a QB. He was too busy running for his life to set his feet and make plays.

Houston needs to get an OL first and foremost. Find some DBs and a WR and a TE (for an NFL and fantasy football degenerate such as myself, i couldnt even name the Texans TE.....he's either very underused or i just havent paid enough attn?).

Bush will probably help them but they also need help in other positions.
Free Agency time and the draft will be huge for this team.

I do agree that taking VY would make this team millions in merchandise and new ticket sales, but I dont think he's the right fit for that team. Putting him at Tennessee makes more sense if McNair re-signs (what happens to Volek?) but the Titans need much more help than at QB....the VY signing might make sense long term as VY can further grow as a QB under McNair. But short term Tenny needs help in other places.

I wonder what David Thomas' prospects are in the pros (good? slim?). He seemed undersized to me as a TE but he has great hands.

draft young and put him or carr on the trading block. they should be able to get alot for either of them. how can anyone call carr a bust. i dont care if you get any hall of famer qb in that position, with a horrible o.l. they all get creamed. i saw the stat for sacks the other day and carr was ahead by a very large margin. not even close.

he gets sacked mostly because he holds on to the ball far too long and doesnt know how to throw it away. it is true he doesnt have much help, but he isnt very good either. And he wont get more than a second round draft pick in a trade.

totally disagree

i think Carr would bring a first rounder and a couple mid round picks

he definitely does not and will not define great, but certainly could be in the 5-10 tier in the NFL "potentially"...a great value for a team like Dallas and i certainly would not be opposed for them to trade a 1st, 3rd and 4th to get him

The best offer Houston has right now is a second rounder, or Ricky Williams and a 4.

The Texans seem to be the only ones enamored with Carr.
