Georgetown plus a FG over Johnnies ****** strong play
Hoyas are really one of the most improved teams in the country with almost everyone back.Johnnies are one of the worst teams in the BE and are w/o there star player again tonite.
Johnnies collapse the other day vs Seton is still being talked about.Being outscored 40-12 in the 2nd half after leading by 21.Johnnies play tough defense but really have no true scorers except for Hill.Lawrence has done a great job at the pt but he is a puppy a gets a lot to turnovers.Hamilton at 6'10 is wide bodied but really has poor b-ball IQ.He'll go up to block a shot and get into foul trouble.Spears is big but also raw.Had 15 pts inside vs the Hall and then he never touched the ball again.They have no bench.
There offense was predicated on Hill penetrating defenses with his dribble.With Hill there are not a good team.W/O Hill it's worse.
Hoyas are loaded.Only lost 2 games and that was to Vandy and Illi.There defense is outstanding.When they play that zone it's better then the Cuse's 2-3.Hibbert is 7'2 and controls the middle.Bowman and Green are both 6'9 and there wing spans push offenses so far out. Passing lanes are contested.Cook and Wallace are solid gds.Talk about balanced scoring.There all avg's 13,11,10,9,9, and 8.No superstars.Owen I love and doesn't even start.Green lyr was outstanding on the bds.
This team is a huge matchup problem for the Johnnies today.Hoyas weakness is there gds might have trouble with pressure teams.But Johnnies cannot do that today.Hoyas will play a half court game and use the size by pounding the ball inside.If Hamilton gets into early foul trouble this game is a blowout.There playing it at the Garden.Not a great home court advantage because everyone gets up playing there and the Johnnies fan support is terrible.This game should be played on campus to give Johnnies an advantage.
Like Hoyas to win this by 10-15 pts.And if Johnnies are up by 21 at the half,relax..They will still lose by 15.
Loy Md - over Marist ****
Greyhounds are playing great.Pastos the long time asst at Maryland will be coach of the Yr in the MAAC.Everyone knew when he got the job he would turn around Loy Md.No one thought in 2 yrs. Lyr they won 6 games.They have 8 now.He has 2 transfers from the Terps.Collins right now is the best player in the MAAC.He's No 2 in the nation in scoring only a pt behind Zaga's mustache kid.But Collins is an impact player.Shoots,passes,rebounds,steals,etc.James and Stanback are part of the 3 gd attack.But in comes 6'10 Fofana who is another Terp and has only played 5 games.He had to sit out the 1st 6 games.He avg 12 pts and 8 bds.His inside presence will dominate the smaller MAAC post players.Tuck had been holding down the fort in the paint but no more.
Marist is 5-5 but 0-3 in conf.I watched them collaspe vs Canisius friday nite.They looked terrible. Whit scored 0 pts in the 1st half.Ended with 9.Smith the 7'0 was benched.He was letting 6'5 guys outrebound him.And he wanders to the top of the key.Brady wants him to post up.He's really a 7'0 gd.Jordan had a bandage around his hand and that seemed to hinder him somewhat.
Foxes defense was terrible.There zone was so passive.Collins today will have a field day vs the Foxes.There slow.Canisius blew by them the whole 2nd half.
With Collins scoring everywhere and Tuck and FoFana inside Foxes will have a tough time keeping pace with the "hounds".

Jaspers destroyed Iona the other nite on the rd.Rulands is protesting MAAC officals for his schedule.Played 4 games in so many nites.Just got back from Fresno and played Jaspers the next nite.Maybe his team was tired but Bobby G's boys handed them a good old fashioned whupping.
Jaspers have elevated there play.Xavier has become an outside threat.CJ and Dubois are tough inside.Clark has to fight off the jaspers little gds who will hound him all day.Small play because Clark is capable of sticking two 3's at the end of a game and a backdoor loss can occur.But think Jaspers win this by 15.
Iona - over Niagara **
Maybe there tired but they are at home.NU is not a very good team.Fisher has stepped up but there gds aren't that good.Iona loaded at the gds.Burtt got only 14 vs Manhattan and he was one of the leading scorers in the nation.He'll get his vs the Purples weak defense.A lot of teams will try to run it up on NU this yr since they dominated the MAAC.

Hate this.Have not posted about the Jints and have been winning.Injuries at LB's,secondary giving up 3,500 yds.Manning is so inconsistent,and Panther defense scares me.The 1st exhibition game I watched Pepper and co destroy the Jints OL.When Manning went to hand off on a run he had 2 DL right on him.I said" I hope we never had to play them.Small play because I want to cheer for my boys.Like the Under **
