Eli Manning is still teething. Carolina spanked a tot.

Now ,The Chicago Bears Linebackers at a freezing Soldier Field is a different story.

Can you hear a mistake proned delhomme's bones cracking already. :scared

Soldier Field may be a house of pain.

Ouch.

Pujo, Carolina spanked a team with a lot more weapons on offense than the bears have.

Agree Bears defense will play tough.. But hw will the Bears score?

my thinking is if the Panthers get 13 it will be enough to win the game, not to mention Im getting 3.5 (bought hook)

Good luck to you though

i think carolina wins this game outright. their defense aint to far off from the bears - and they have the edge at QB, offense, playoff experience, and IMO coaching. weather isnt looking to be a factor.

The only clear advantage on O that the giants have over the bears that stands out to me is the TE postion....and the inconsistency of having diff qb's in there....Unlike Eli, Rex doesn't have the pressure to win the game...........How will they score?....Well if they play like they played the Giants, they'll be playing 8 man fronts stopping the Run and forcing Rex to beat them.....>Rex can throw the long ball and I expect burner Bernard Berrian to have a few big catches this week.....He can get behind the D backs and theres not much film on him since he missed 3/4's of the year with an injury........6'4 Justin Gage is another young receiver who could have a nice day............. The Bears do have alot of young talent, its just not their gameplan to throw the ball around.

Eli Manning vs. Rex Grossman? Think I would have to go with Eli. How many games has Rex played in this year?
Chicago's offense will not win this game...however, it wouldn't be surprising for their defense to record 2 touchdowns.
Seems like betting on the prop for a defensive touchdown would be better than the Bears winning this outright.
Carolina is peaking at the right time on both sides of the ball.
thinking Carolina wins this one 17-10

I'm not saying Rex is a better QB, all I'm saying is that hes not the focal point of the Bears winning this game and doesn't have expectations thrust upon him like Eli had, but to think the Bears won't score on O........well they might as well not even play the game, since everyone has Carolina going to the superbowl...........I'm sure thats not in the locker room

I wasn't trying to say that this is by any means a done deal...just saying that for Chicago to win, their defense (which is the best in the NFL and reminiscent of the Ravens team that won the superbowl), has to help put points on the board. The last time, costly interceptions gave the Bears multiple trips to the Panthers red zone.

Grossman has started in 8 games, thats all time. Jake Del has been to the big show and has started 48. L2,0 int's / L7 1 or 0 int's. Grossman is not ready for this, the Bears would be better of with the back-up. Ask Jack,Tampa and NYG about green play off QB's. There is only one problem with your theory , the bears are not playing against a mistake pron Qb, and I'll bet Grossman winds up on the wrong side of the turn over total.

He sure made mistakes last time they faced, I bet everyone said the same thing when the Panthers made their Superbowl run about Jake...........everyone has to start somewhere, correct??..........Did Brady start out 10-0?....NO he started 0-0......I'm not comparing NE's teams to this Bears team, just showing you, that you have to start somewhere.......and that a QB is usually only as good as the system they play in, except for the select few QB's in this league that could go anwyhere and still have the same if not better production..............

yes i'm a bears fan.....but come on

jake dellhomme is one of the most int prone qb in the nfl after favre.....put pressure on the guy with the front 4 (and that IS the key to this game) and the guy will throw a few floaters down the middle or float the 15 yard out.....give him time and he and smith can pick apart anybody

stop the run
pressure dellohme (hopefully with 4 or 5)

only defensive keys for the bears

When will these NFL coaches learn, leave the guy thats been on the bench on the bench, especially if he's green. You can't bring a rusty, green Qb into a play off game. The Bears would have been a shocker yesterday if they had won. You have to give your team a chance to win. Jake Del has been to the show, I'll ride him one more time.

Obviously, You didnt watch the game if you think it was Rex's fault they didn't win the game, leave the monday morning Quartebacking to the guys on tv......He led them on 3 Drives that resulted in TD's....something the Bears Offense couldnt do with Orton........Don't you think the season highs of yards allowed, passing yds allowed and pts allowed had something to with the outcome???..........

I watched the game and thought the same thing I thought on the 10th when I posted it here, no way was your boy Rex going to deliver the goods and he didn't. I cashed my ticket, thats all I'm here for.

well if you thought that rex not bring the goods meant the defense allowing 29 points and 200+ yard to a wr then congrats......rex had little to do with the outcome of the game....the defense had everything to do with it

some guy here wanted to bet me rex would throw 3+ picks......didnt see that one either.

bears got their asses handed to them by the car o-line (nice job talking on monday and tuesday wale and a brown) which gave jake all day to throw....that was the key to the game........despite 21 points, i also think ron turner called a terrible game with his play calling early on......ALOT of deep passes???? should have been calling for screens to get rex into the game with some easy completitions and they never fully committed to the run (something i was concerned about with the insertion of rex into the lineup....they got away from the run, run, run, safe pass, punt mentality that led to a 10-4 record)......oh yeah and the special team was HORRIBLE......can a punter really have a bad day???? brad maynard was terrible in the first half and screwed the bears in field position
