back in the days when i watched the nba, i did witness cheryl miller calling some games. and yes, she is awful. and there are certainly plenty of very, very bad announcers out there. and, sadly, very few good ones. but, to me, musburger takes it to a whole new low. not only is he awful, but he thinks he is awesome. he seems to think he is incredibly knowledgable, when, in fact, i've crapped out things that knew more about football than he does. i really could go on and on about how terrible he is (again, my opinion), but i'm gonna watch the hokies fall just short, and then go to bed. in closing, i'll just say that if you sat down with me during a game he was calling, i could point out every error he makes. he really doesn't understand the first thing about either football or basketball. at least it doesn't come across from his broadcasting.
i will say one thing in his defense... i actually thought he did a decent job way back when, on the cbs sunday pre-game show. so my intense dislike for him did not begin until he started announcing games.
one last note... HOW 'BOUT DEM GOPHERS???
now i just need va tech to pull out their game. c'mon, hokies!!
