mississipp1-1

The fact of the matter is that like a lot of teams, these two just play better at home. Ole Miss is 11-3 SU on the year, including 9-1 SU at home. South Carolina opened the season with a mere five-point win at Division II Alaska Achrorage. In their only other two roadies this season, the Cocks have been blown out at Clemson and at Temple as they're on a 9-17 SU slide the last three seasons outside of Columbia.

Ole Miss is riding a wave of confidence after Saturday's SEC opening game win at Alabama. Sophomore Dwayne Curtis was named conference player of the week after scoring 21 and pulling down 14 boards versus the Tide. He'll face a much smaller South Carolina team tonight as the Cocks have had their struggles with big men this season.

After Sunday's seven-point home loss to Tennessee, the 9-5 SU Gamecocks (2-5 SU and 1-5 ATS versus teams with wininng records) continue to struggle at finding the right combination. Coach Dave Odom has indicated that he'll keep experimenting to find the right formula for success. That doesn't sound like the correct recipe for winning conference road games.

Both teams play excellent perimeter defense, but give the edge to Curtis (82 pounds more heavier than the biggest Gamecock starter) and Rebels inside. Coach Rod Barnes doesn't want his team to lose the momentum gained from Saturday's upset in Tuscaloosa. The Rebs have scored the ATS win in three straight in this series (including an SEC Tournament upset last March), and they'll do it again tonight with this win and cover.

You seem like you do great and in depth research, but a stat like this is so misleading. Each Wake squad has been different with different starting opponents. I'm sure you have other reasons for liking this play, just making sure. Good luck on it regardless.
